So I learned Urdu and Arabic, and even though I have limited understanding of either, they both look great on the page. Or a tattoo or necklace for that matter, seeing them a lot these days. Chinese was fashionable a while ago also, and I hesitate to say it but....hindi script looks class.

On the other hand I've never been proud of western script, it looks and feels clumsy, but it gets the job done. It's not the best to look at though is it?

i think the persian script, nastaliq, used for urdu, persian and historically turkish is one of the best scripts, especially when artistically embellished. the flow of curved lines looks very organic when done right.

ive always had a bit of a soft spot for the Ethiopian script too, it looks very archaic.

i think familiarity with western script, as well as its over corporatisation takes away from its artistic, merit, but what it loses there it gains in communicability, its a very easy script to learn.

Korean script is, like everything Korean, quite in fashion these days. By all accounts it’s an incredibly easy one to learn compared to other east Asian ones.

Was going to mention Persian script, but don't really know that much about it. We Brits call it Persia, but they themselves call it Iran. Western script was decent a couple of centuries ago, not sure it has aged well.

Georgian looks spectacular.

Hebrew is quite enchanting.

Russian coming from salvic from outside of the subcontinent .. many countries in those regions have that, found it unique.

Well it looks more sharper than Japanese and Chinese for sure.

For tattoos, Korean and Japanese scripts look awesome. Devanagari is also very pretty to look at.

english script.

makes it very simple. Every letter is independent, you dont need to connect the letters. Hence, which is why its one of the most easiest language to understand.

It is too vanilla and boring.

Possibly the least coolest script.

there is no such thing as boring script.

its just that we are used to seeing it now. its universal and has made language very simple.

All other scripts that have to be conjoined to make a word are very difficult for others to pick up

With so many styles and fonts that can be applied, all scripts can look amazing. In their basic form though, I've always found the Cantonese and Mandarin scripts pleasing to the eye.

English script is very effective for communication, but that's not what I was really talking about. It doesn't look stylish or cool, but it does a great job as a language.

To be fair, anything we dont understand would look stylish.

Style is about shape and flow, nothing to do with understanding in the sense you are talking about. You are talking about linguistics, I am talking about design.

like i said, anything we don't understand, it would look stylish.

I can read and understand Urdu, hence i would never find anything about it stylish in fact it would bother me that why the Persian script is like that where letters are written together and not independently.

While at same time I can read Arabic and not understand it. Thus, i would get mesmerized by its design.

We understand the english text hence to us it looks blend... While for an Alien it would be interesting. Just like how Latin looks very stylish.

Latin does look stylish though. Western script doesn't. Does Turkish look stylish to you?

nope, cause i recognize the letters which are like English. But when you look at a turkish word than it has an appeal towards it as you cant understand it. Like Turkish Names
