Will we ever have a 'clean' set of politicians in Pakistan?

Is it actually possible to have people of integrity in our politics or is it a dream?

Corruption happens every where in various levels of government and it doesn't necessarily have to be financial corruption. In the west, lobbyists are all guilty of corruption to certain extent. The sitting American President is guilty of some blatant and shameless corruption.

I don't think corruption can ever be fully eradicated. You can set up measures and controls to minimize the corruption.

Pakistan's biggest problem is that it doesn't have any measures or controls for corruption. Any time an institution has come in to deal with corruption it doesn't last. Case in point, Nawaz Sharifs acquittal. The good news is that there is no way that Pakistan get anymore corrupt especially under a more honorable leader like Imran Khan. So I'll say that we can somewhat eliminate corruption in Pakistan, especially financial corruption.

There aren't or have ever been a clean set of politicians in the history of mankind.

But the politicians reflect our society ?

Its not just politics. Corruption is everywhere. Its a part of the system and will always be there. You can't weed out completely because that's a basic human nature.

The system just has to place check points so that it is kept under some level.

No system can work with 100% efficiency according to physics. It is true everywhere.

Fair point. It takes centuries for a nation to develop. Even the really old western societies didnt allow a woman to vote until a few decades ago. Slavery is not that old a concept either.
We need a few good leaders and scholars. If people start getting justice it will automatically turn them into better humans.

Yes. If the average man in Karachi is corrupt - willing to pay bribes and avoid paying tax, then how does he expect the person who apparently represents his interests, to be any different?

Culture of the country needs to change...and I don't think it ever will. We are just greedy to the core, and have no respect for the laws of the State.

Pakistan can NEVER be corruption free, as it just is not something that will ever go away from anyone.

It exists nearly all over the world in one way or another, just that in the SC it happens on a magnanimous scale.
