"Peacock has pious qualities just like cow -- Peahen doesn't need to have sex to get pregnant, it just swallows 'tears' of the peacock"

A selection of what Sharma said, in possibly his last order before he retired on Wednesday:

1.It is believed that 33 crore gods and goddesses reside inside the cow and the animal appeared along with goddess Laxmi during the churning of ocean in Hindu mythology.

2.Cow is the only living being which intakes oxygen and emits oxygen and the animal is a hospital in itself.

3.Cow urine keeps the liver, heart and mind healthy, and increases the immunity of the body. It also slows down ageing.

4.Drinking cow urine rids one of sins of the previous life.

5.According to a Russian scientist, coating the walls of the house with cow dung will protect the inhabitants from radiation.

6.The cow, through its horns, absorbs “cosmic” energy.

7.Consumption of cow milk prevents cancer from entering the blood cells.

8.Cow dung known to have killed cholera germs.

9.Cow dung can generate 4,500 litres of biogas every year. If biogas is generated from the cow dung of all cow progeny in the country, the country can save 6.80 lakh tonnes of firewood and save 14 crore trees from being cut.

10.Cow is the only mammal whose large intestine is 180 feet long because of which the cow milk has Kerotin which produces vitamin A in human bodies.

11.Mooing of cow kills the pathogens in the air.

In case of imminent nuclear, chemical or biological attack, go out and buy a cow. Not only will it's dung keep you radiation free, but it's mooing will also filter the contaminated air. :trump2

Meet the world's top destroyer of the environment. It is not the car, or the plane,or even George Bush: it is the cow.

A United Nations report has identified the world's rapidly growing herds of cattle as the greatest threat to the climate, forests and wildlife. And they are blamed for a host of other environmental crimes, from acid rain to the introduction of alien species, from producing deserts to creating dead zones in the oceans, from poisoning rivers and drinking water to destroying coral reefs.

The 400-page report by the Food and Agricultural Organisation, entitled Livestock's Long Shadow, also surveys the damage done by sheep, chickens, pigs and goats. But in almost every case, the world's 1.5 billion cattle are most to blame. Livestock are responsible for 18 per cent of the greenhouse gases that cause global warming, more than cars, planes and all other forms of transport put together.

Burning fuel to produce fertiliser to grow feed, to produce meat and to transport it - and clearing vegetation for grazing - produces 9 per cent of all emissions of carbon dioxide, the most common greenhouse gas. And their wind and manure emit more than one third of emissions of another, methane, which warms the world 20 times faster than carbon dioxide.

Livestock also produces more than 100 other polluting gases, including more than two-thirds of the world's emissions of ammonia, one of the main causes of acid rain.

Ranching, the report adds, is "the major driver of deforestation" worldwide, and overgrazing is turning a fifth of all pastures and ranges into desert.Cows also soak up vast amounts of water: it takes a staggering 990 litres of water to produce one litre of milk.

Wastes from feedlots and fertilisers used to grow their feed overnourish water, causing weeds to choke all other life. And the pesticides, antibiotics and hormones used to treat them get into drinking water and endanger human health.

The pollution washes down to the sea, killing coral reefs and creating "dead zones" devoid of life. One is up to 21,000sqkm, in the Gulf of Mexico, where much of the waste from US beef production is carried down the Mississippi.

The report concludes that, unless drastic changes are made, the massive damage done by livestock will more than double by 2050, as demand for meat increases

Barn explodes due to farting cows

That’s what happened when 90 cows created so much methane gas that it caught fire and blew up a shed in Rasdorf, Germany.

The gas had steadily built up in the structure and was ignited on Monday when ‘a static electric charge caused the gas to explode with flashes of flames,’ the police said in a statement.

New weapon in the arsenal of Indian armed forces? Bombs made from cow farts!

India is in good hands with knowledgeable High Court Judges like the Rt. Hon.Justice Chand Sharma to guide the way. What a beautiful and holy animal the cow truly is.

People like him give me confidence.
If idiots like him can become Chief Justice, I can easily crack IAS exam.

Don't waste your time with IAS exams..too much scrutiny and corruption is difficult. But take up law and try to become a judge. Too much money, very little scrutiny and immunity from the lawmakers. I personally know two anti corruption high court judges who take money.

Let's see presidents who dont believe in global warming and judges who throw basic biological sciences out the window and use centuries old religious text as motivation for legal rulings!!

What is this world coming to?

I drink more than a litre a day. Will I become a demigod anytime soon?

I am sure that most of the people laughing at this guy believe in dumber miracles from their holy scriptures. :))

That's always the case, logic is thrown out when it comes to their beliefs, only atheists or at best agnostics will not be hypocrites in these situations.

Lucky for you that you are not Lactose intolerant.Remember hearing Dhoni saying he used to drink 1 litre a day till he was 18 as well.

Milk is honestly great. Easy way to get calories and protein in. I drink 0.5l for breakfast and then mix whey with it and drink 0.5l after my workout. Cheap too

Milk is great when harmones are not injected into cows.Organic meadow and Harmony organic are probably the best ones available in Ontario ,although expensive.

Have you tried buffalo milk in Pakistan?

It was a genuine concern. Are you guys allowed to drink cows milk btw?

Ofcourse, many Hindus are vegetarians and not vegans, almond and soy milk are available everywhere but defn hasn't picked up as a primary choice.Milk in packets or locally are still the most consumed form ,cartons are discouraged.

It was always the case. If anything, things are getting better now.

Yes. When I visit visit my village, we have buffalo milk there. Been years since I went last though.

Hindus.Smh
Probably the most superstitious people out there. You are lucky to have Islam to guide you.

Agree, have always been jealous of Islam and Muslim's. While I continue to rot in hellfire after death, Muslim's would still be enjoying the fruits of pleasure in paradise.

It's considered as a sin in my area.We look after them like family member and proper cremation is provided after they pass away.

OMG. Didn't know it was that extreme. What happens to the unproductive ones then , are there enough shelters or funds provided to take care ?

Anways, your state , your rules. Won't complain .

Lol you fell for it.

We also drink cow's urine in case you didn't know that.

I had planned t to put this to you , in the North V South thread (before recent events would've added sinister motive to me asking such a thing) .. I've always been uninformed about the prevalence of the practice. Whether it was popular or just a myth..

They definitely use it in some ayurvedic medicines.Never seen anyone directly consuming it though.

That is used in certain ayurvedic preparations in Kerala as well for centuries. But none of the ancient ayurvedic practitioners here suggested drinking it directly.
