I am looking to buy a lightweight and ready to play bat for a budget between £75-£100 here in England. I am looking at GM, Kookaburra and Gray Nicolls brands. I would appreciate some advice and suggestions.

Thanks

I would suggest eBay, Recently bought a Gray Nicolls Maverick F1 LE for £80.

I actually have gone slightly overboard with my bat buying currently have 7 bats but just can not resist a good piece of willow.

For that price Ebay, look at 'butterfly' bats, they will have reduced prices because they'll have a stain on the bat, but it won't effect the performance.

You won't really get a Kookaburra bat cheap anywhere. I recommend the brand 'Bulldog', they usually have a bat or two on auction and go for prices around £70-100.

I will try to take some pictures later as got a busy weekend, the person I bought it from had netted with it without knocking in so had a couple small surface cracks however I have knocked in the edges and applied edge tape and anti scuff.

I haven't even netted with it yet and most likely will use it straight in a match as the balls they use in nets are not good enough.

That's quite a good price even when it jumps from £61.99 - £79.99 when you choose small handle.

The only thing is, I don't know what weight they will send you, as there doesn't seem to be an option, while in the specifications they have just listed this:

Weight: 2lb 8oz - 2lb 12oz

I think £79.99 is a good price too. I will e-mail sportdirect to try to get 2.8 lb. I was just wondering if anyone has tried this bat?
