Cricket Bat Knocking

Hi Guys,

I have recently bought CA Plus 12000 LE ,It says that it is ready to play.

Do I still need to knock it,If yes what are the exact procedure.
I also want to put protective sheet on the bat for edges protection,so do I need to put sheet before oiling or after oiling and knocking?

Please guide me step by step.

Yes you need to knock the toe and edges. Oil the bat lightly with 1 teaspoon of oil, then put the protection sheet on.
