The first of the semi finals and an Pak Vs India type confrontation of old foes.

England fresh from a drubbing by Aussies in England have gained some form and power in CT whereas Australia are looking to use that phsycological advantage in todays game - not to mention their firepower.

Can England beat the odds?

Did I read right? Broad has pulled a muscle in his backside and is doubtful???

Yep - says "buttock muscle" .... ALLAH khair karay

And Prior too ( not buttock muscle)

Prior, Broad and Sidebottom are the one missed, although Prior didnt play last game as well.

Was he talking to much? :)

Sky really dont place any faith in Star/ESPN's coverage - not once have they shown the toss/anthem live!

They choose to delay the feed!

England v Pakistan final would be good as niether has won trophy and id love to see Pak beat the Poms in final :)

I think England will need 250+ on this wicket as Aussies have a strong batting line up.

Am supporting England as they would be easier to beat in the final. So, go England.

I'd love a Pakistan vs England final....

but at the same time I'm an 'Anyone But England (apart from India)' bloke so I'm supporting the Aussies.

God save our gracious queen
long live our noble queen

2.28pm A few e-mails about what happens if this game ends in a washout. Well, there will be a one-over eliminator, and if there's no time for even that, then the team that topped it's group will go through. So that'll be Australia if rain were to rule out any possibility of play.

Ravi Shastri is still crying after India's exit. He was suppose to have gone back but they didn't let him on the flight because his tears were a safety hazard.

I note that Gary Kirsten's 'advice' has reached far and wide, yielding disastrous results.

If Collingwood stays till the end he England can make 300 still.

Pakistan should have cleaned up Australia, they may come back to haunt them in the finals

This looks like a belter of a pitch, anything less than 250 and Aus will chase that without any difficulty.

Siddle to Denly, :four , beautifully timed, pitched up outside off, gets forward and eases it through that gap between cover and mid-off
