2021 clash was a one sided mauling, We had a hell of a match at MCG in 2022. 2024 tie was a bottling of highest order by PCT. But 2026 arch rivals clash will be something interesting. Given the heat observed between both sides in Asia Cup 2025 and how Mohsin Naqvi betrayed PCT fans to fix a meeting with ICT after a series of imploring by BCCICC..

At one side, are the best chuckers in the world while on the other side we see booming seedlings like Abrar Ahmed and Usman Tariq daydreaming of slaying the Indian batting Goliath featuring likes of Abhishek Sharma, SKY, Hardik Pandya etc. So in such a tense tug of war who will make their nation proud? The Indian chuck**s or PCT's inexperienced spinners

So will we get "is baar 250 paar" or even after denting Indian's batting lineup, the PCT batters will do a another big bottle job in the batting department? 🤔
 
Look at indian batting against usa, namibia. We are struggling against spin, pak spinners might create havoc

Pakistan will start as favourites as usual, their spin attack is best in the world and Indian team has no counter to it.
Only chance for India is Abhishek plays and scores big or Ishan can hit another 60-70 knock at the start when ball is hard.

If that doesn’t happen will be tough for us.

This is the only thing that is going for Pakistan.

In batting only Farhan looks a real in form threat. Saim is flashing like a phuljhari. Not enough runs to put other team under pressure. Rest of the batting is not threatening

Our batting sucks, specially under pressure so I don’t expect anything other than a mauling on Sunday.

250 is kind of impossible at Premadasa though unless they bring the boundaries in randomly for this game.

Batting is very weak, Farhan will be crucial. He needs to bat minimum 10 overs.

We all are just hyping Usman Tariq, the lad is good but inexperienced....So India is firm favorites here. With 10 straight wins in T20 WC format.

Pak's real strengths are Abrar middle overs control and Saim Ayub the allrounder.

Farhan and Agha if they come off with bat will really make Pak competitive. I expect nothing from Shaheen and Babar and will be surprised if they contribute meaningfully.

For India the gun players are Tilak, Hardik and Bumrah. The rest are all cameo role players

That’s correct. Usman is being hyped tio much probably coz of Indian Media. They always have to hype up someone from opposition to make it look like India is against odds. India should steamroll against Pak.

Abrar is the real deal. He gets hit but he takes wickets. Those are the over I want to see how India handles. If they destroy Abrar then this match is over.

The Indian media has built up Tariq into something he's not just due to his unorthodox action.

If there is a spinner that will be dangerous, it's going to be Abrar.

Yeah, they hype players on purpose for viewership. Usman is a newbie in ICC tournaments. No wonder, the same media went on a begging spree to restore this encounter which may eventually get washed out. All Trps greedy lot
 
Back in 2008 Asia Cup, mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis destroyed India.

Can Usman Tariq do something similar? I wouldn't be surprised if he does.

Mendis was a great bowler that changed cricket with the little career he had. He was a proper street style bowler.

Tariq is different kind of bowler that uses the pace off the ball.
 
India is preparing too much for Usman.. Somebody else may come out of the syllabus.
 
Pakistan having the best spinners is a myth, they have not been tested against the Indian batting power house.

Kuldeep, Axar, Chakrawarthy will show what quality spin is like and we are not even talking about Bhumrah, Siraj yet
 
This can be a make or break game for Tariq, if Indian batsmen give him a phainty it will be the end of his international career, if Indian batsmen can’t pick him up and he ends up winning the game for his team he will be secured a place in PCT for next 3-4 years even if he doesn’t perform.

I am not buying the idea that Pakistan has the better spinners. Everyone is talking about the Colombo turn, which actually makes Varun the biggest threat in the game. Usman’s only real weapon is that pause in his action and if India doesn't lose early wickets to him, he will probably be the worst of the lot.

Really proud of Usman Tariq, despite being under such immense pressure he delivered. Tbh, wasn't expecting such a spell for him. Atleast, he did give his best for the PCT in his first ever ICC tournament.

Very poor from Agha to bring him so late. He should have brought earlier, maybe in 6th over.

Game was over for Pakistan when India scored 90 odd in 10 overs.

Yeah, was brought late. But I think we actually lost the game in the powerplays with 38/4. PCT batting can hardly recover after such a poor start. The total was chase able for a seasoned side.

i keep hearing this. There is a good chance Kishan could have gone after him as he was in the zone picking length at will. He probably got lucky.
