Of lately, its not just our guys.... all you hear is jungle mumblings and shrieks with lots of arms flailing, it would be nice if someone just cared to ask the ump "sir, how is that?"...
 
Can’t help to agree with him. I was watching the series and it was not appealing. It was literal screaming.

Sarfraz really is embarrassing from behind the stumps.

He has even surpassed that Bangla keeper who used to shout his lungs out at anything.

Have to mute his shouting.
 
I do agree with Steyn. I was also really annoyed when watching the highlights. Imagine him screaming behind you.

i think you are talking about anamul haque .i thought kamran was cringe worthy during lbw shout but sarfaraz have taken it to whole new level
 
This guy used to scream in the face of batsmen after dismissing them. Doesn't do it anymore these days because he'll probably injure himself and be out for another 6 months.

When you combine Yasir and Sarfi, it's just screaming.


Steyn, is saying right. But, he shouldn't have tweeted it. If anything wrong, ICC would have taken care.

Imagine Hafeez getting Steyn, lbw and appealing that way.

Steyn is aggressive but never like what Sarfraz do.
 
The series is building up. Hope, these English are shown the door.

Aus vs Ind and SA vs Pak are going to be some series, this summer.

How can Sarfi not request a review after appealing his lungs out? It happened many times and even commies questioned it.

I’m one of Sarfraz’ biggest critics and I don’t think he deserves to Captain our side due to his batting being unacceptably poor lately.

However, I have no problem with these loud appeals as it helps to build pressure on the umpire and the batsmen. An umpire is far more likely to be swayed by this on a 50-50 call than a lighthearted appeal that lacks enthusiasm.

Hope we put the South Africans to the swords would be lovely if Steyn gets injured as per usual too:))
 
Who cares what Steyn thinks?

The mic is on the stumps so it sounds loud when Sarfraz appeals.

I like the passion, much better than umpire ji out hai?
 
lol my mind goes to James Pattinson's pleading appeal vs Dravid I think it was, as well as Ashish Nehra being told to shush by the umpire after his loud appeal.

If Pakistan get the better of SA, and if Steyn comes in to bat, then I hope Saifi loosens his vocal chords and brings out an opera-level lbw appeal for some good'ol trolling :sarf.
 
Can't believe that so many Pakistani fans are agreeing with Steyn, m sorry but this is inferiority complex where they need a Steyn to decide on how their players should appeal. Pakistan has won a fantastic test match and all the players including sarfaraz should be congratulated rather than being criticized for what is their right to appeal. Steyn is the same person who spitted on a West Indies cricketer and here PPers treating Steyn like some saint.
 
Not only Sarfraz...most Pakistani wicket keepers are loud. Kamran Akmal was very loud as well. I was in Mohali cricket ground for that semi final game and even in that huge crowd, Kamran's voice can be heard from distance :))
Moin Khan, Zulfiquarnain etc. all were loud mouth. Only Rashid Latif was bit reserved.

Also, the appealing may have seemed louder with the mics turned up and no fans in the arena/ambience/background noise.

Cultural thing.

When you enjoy something in our culture, you say "Ah ha ha - kiya baat hai" - not the same everywhere so allowances should be made and people like Steyn should be the last people to be so insensitive given the country they are from.

Why is appealing loudly an embarrassment??????

I thought Indian fans were most weird ones but it seems like Pak fans have taken over, finding lame reasons to criticize their team and players.
 
Lol, you should check out the way the Aussie side from 1998 to 2007 used to appeal, they were very intimidating to the umpires especially Gilchrist.
 
Steyn has been watching both our Aus and NZ series very closely. Not that he would have needed to, but it seems like he has done his homework regarding our team.

Lot of noise from NZ players on almost every ball. Not pleasing to the ears.
