Did Pakistan fail to use Fakhar Zaman correctly in Tests?

One of the few players we have who enjoy pace. Surely could have been better utilised especially in SENA?

He is a perfect candidate for slip cordon lacks an all round stroke range would had failed badly

He flopped hard in England 2021 ODIs series when the ball was moving a bit. He had no idea

Technically all over the place.

Angle the ball across him an edge waiting to happen.

Bowl short stuff to him - clueless.

He had a very good first test match . Scoring a 90 odd and 70 odd, and showed enough to be considered for more than 3 tests .

Pakistan didnt fail Fakhar.

Fakhar failed Pakistan and himself.

He does not look interested in improving his game. Closed case. Let’s look for someone else.

He is a clutch player and his aggressive style may have suited us at the top of the order.

For those doubting his technique, I’m sure they would have said the same before his ODI debut and about t20 internationals. But he’s performed when it’s mattered in all 3 formats.

Even in the few chances in Tests, he helped win a game (and the series) against Australia.

He has only played 53 FC matches to date , if he is really serious in finding his place back he needs to play FC cricket and win his place back in the side.

With a better technique he could have made it as a test opener regardless in Asia he’ll score runs on low bounce flat wickets at a decent strike rate.

Unfortunately despite the team close to a minnow people on here mirror the selectors thought process of pushing the next 40 strike rate batsman who has a mediocre average aswell I mean come on these batsmen have taken Pakistan nowhere why not push for more aggressive batsmen to be selected.
