Difference of Interests between South Asian countries and European

I was looking at the UK/USA twitter trends. All i see is memes, youtubers mentioned, nothing politics or military related. When i check pakistan's trends, 95% is politics or military. Same for India.

Why are pak and ind so obsessed with their military powers and each other? Trends in European countries are so trivial. Shane Dawson was trending for like 3 days coz of his cat.

I've never heard a single American man mention how they defeated Japan to a Japanese. It's like they don't even remember. Look at pakistanis and indians, every conversation of twitter starts with the 1965 war and then goes into abuse. Also indians brag about their 1971 victory ALL THE TIME.

What has caused this to happen? Is it coz Pak and Ind are always at a state of tension?

I know right, desis and middle eastern people are obsessed with politics but then again those regions are very poor, wartorn, in dangerous situations so for them politics/activism is all the more important, for them its a reality and for us all the way across the world we have the luxury to have real hobbies and do fun stuff. Wish there was like a cultural change, young people shouldn't be identifying with some dumb political party but maybe some kinda fraternity or sports club and they should be going to concerts and music fesitivals not some boring political rally where they listen to corny music.

To be fair it's mostly the males from both countries that are obsessed with religion, politics, military and trolling on Youtube, Twitter, etc. We should have more women in power for a change.
