Disrespect in the Press Box: Unacceptable behaviour during the 2nd 'Pindi Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh

Workplaces are meant to be spaces of professionalism and respect, especially in environments as prestigious as a cricket press box. Unfortunately, during the coverage of the 2nd Test match for PakPassion in Pindi, we witnessed a disturbing breach of these standards. A foreign broadcaster, tasked with covering the match, shockingly treated the press box as his personal lounging area. He put his legs up on the tables as if he were relaxing on a sofa at home, watching Netflix.

This behavior not only reflects a lack of respect for the workplace but also for the event itself. The press box is a space where journalists and broadcasters are expected to work diligently, maintain decorum, and uphold the integrity of the sport. The casual disregard shown by this individual was not just inappropriate but outright disrespectful to his colleagues and the event he was covering.

Such actions undermine the professionalism that is expected in these environments and set a poor example for others. The press box should always be a place of serious work, where individuals behave with the utmost respect for their surroundings and colleagues. We hope this incident serves as a reminder that professionalism must be maintained at all times, regardless of one’s comfort or familiarity with the environment.

I recall a few years ago one esteemed journo was seen watching a YouTube video of a Bollywood dance and then casually glancing to the side and ask ing "Score kiya hai?"

That's wild. Was he told to take his legs off by security?
