Do we really need to rest our batsmen for Australia series?

Apart from Imam all our batsmen are either terrible form or lack of match practice. Since PSL franchises didn't try any new young emerging batsman there is no need to bring back TTF brigade and get confused with 1 or 2 fluke innings.

Knowing Inzi he will never give opportunities to couple of young batsmen i.e. Saud Shakil (he is over 23), Zeeshan Malik or Nasir Nawaz but will bring proven failure like Umar and Kamran Akmal, Shehzad, Salman Butt etc.

Our current batsmen are good enough to chase around 250 runs. Since bowling is our main priority and not have any batting culture, our bowlers deserve 5 matches rest so they will be fresh for the World Cup. Its better our batsmen face skilled Australian fast bowlers to improve their batting.

Any thought?

Batsmen actually need more time in the middle, You can rest them for the odd dead rubber game. But bowlers have a much more demanding workload and therefore they will need rest for an entire series.

We need to be clear in our minds as to who are main batsmen are going to be in England.
