He was the biggest disappointment for me in the series and its pretty clear that unless he has a new ball in his hand or if the wicket has something in him with the new or old ball (reverse swing), he offers nothing from his second spell onwards. Batsmen have now started coming outside the crease to him and is it good for Pakistan's reputation to have the keeper stand up to the stumps for a country with a legacy of fast bowlers?
England neutralized Abbas by playing him out and making sure he didn't get wickets and were very happy to leave his deliveries outside the offstump. He was very predictable on this tour and Pakistan suffered because he didn't get enough wickets even if he was economical. He was suppossed to be the leader of this attack which lacks experience.
Don't see him succeeding for long if he is at best just getting 1-2 wickets per test match.
