Shadab was injured before he was picked for the test series. Why M Irfan (left arm spinner), Kashif Bhatti or Raza Hassan, if age of M Irfan or Kashif is a issue, were not picked to partner Yasir? PP's favorites Zafar Gohar and M Asghar don't deserve it at the moment. Zafar is below these 3 in terms of wickets and M Asghar is not even among the top 30 bowlers this year. M Asghar is also yet to prove himself in the long format like Shadab.
Mickey has double fitness standards, one for his favorites and one for others. Thanks to him, Pakistan will again go undercooked in terms of bowling resources in a UAE test series, 2 spinners vs 5 fast bowlers. I am pretty sure Bilal Asif would not have played the first test if M Irfan or Kashif Bhatti were part of the squad in place of Shadab.
