Maybe some Electrical Engineers and others with good knowledge in Basic Electrical can assist in solving a few doubts related to the subject.

So to begin, can anyone explain Star Delta Starter ?

Is this Circuit diagram sufficient or need a better one?

I know that there are three comtactors in the circuit but what is NC and NO? Do all Contactors have NC and NO?

How does the circuit work along with overload relay and timer?

Not exactly sure but I think they do because how else would the switches work?

Okay BTW, why does the Motor has 6 connections ? Shouldn't it only have three connections as it's connected to three phase power supply?

Also, are the Stator Windings on the Motor Star connected or Delta connected?

Star delta starter,no cooper bar install at motor terminal. There will be six leads from motor and you can choose to connect it in Star. These may be particularly benefiting when used as Star Delta Starter

star and delta connected winding can be done in Induction Motors.

Star Winding :Since Voltage across each winding is less the torque produced will be less.Star connections is used for high Voltage motors, it saves cost as less voltage therefore less insulation. it used for low torque applications.

Delta Winding Used for high Starting torques( High Capacity Load)
