If not the end, he badly needs a reality check by the English establishment that anointed him golden boy.

What a waste of a talent that has been allowed to fester in selfishness and entitlement. From whining when others misfield, to not apologizing when he has shockers in the field, to running away at the first sight of a short ball - Broad represents the worst possible degeneration of a cricketer who once seemed a worthy successor to Flintoff.

Root is going his way if England don't stop polishing the auras of their golden boys.

P.S: Sorry about paraphrasing and repeating my post from the commentary thread.

KP should take joy in this, these are the same players that deserted him.

Broad just needs a bit of psychological work done to sort out his batting problem and six months of rest to get his bowling zip back. He’s got years left as a test player.

I remember when you defended Broad after the Ind series. For me Broad gets "injuries" when he is bowling poorly.

KP really needs to grow up and move on. Nobody cares, and no English player is going to get KP treatment. No matter how many times he tweets his childish attacks.

Broad should gracefully retire at the end of the English summer and not embarrass himself on future tours. He's holding up a youngster's spot at this point. England can't afford two ageing fast medium bowlers away from home.

Broad? grace? I don't think its in his genes or for that matter his dads.

Broad still has something to offer. Let's see how he performs in English summer before writing him off. If he has a poor summer, his place could be in question.

Lyon's claim that careers will be ended is looking savage and substancial, half the English team has question marks now.

A 31 year old has one average series followed by a poor Ashes tour and people are calling for his head? Prior to that he’s played consistently well both home and away for several years, give him a break.

KP is such a bitter man.

Disagree entirely. Broad will continue to take some wickets on the most helpful English wickets around but even in those conditions, he almost never dominates a game. He is just second fiddle to Andsrson and a poor one at that. He has survived this long for no reason other than the fact that in England, he's relied on conditions rather than any real skill.

As opposed to Anderson...

Broad has been better than Anderson in Australia in the past. I am sure if England lose 5-0 again, some heads will roll. Cook and Anderson might be in forefront of the same. There might be a couple who might announce retirement. Cook lost his captaincy after 4-0 loss against India and this is even bigger loss for them. Cook has looked clueless while inexperienced players like Stoneman, Vince and Malan have done really well.

When a wicket falls ..... 75% of the time it is because of the Batsman's screw up, rather than the guile of the bowler !!!!!! That is why there is a " Ball of the Century " .... and not the Shot of the Century !!!!!!

He needs a long rest. England play too much cricket. He looks totally gassed right now. He was bowling 85+ in the first game but gradually declined every innings from 2nd game onward.

He easily has 3-4 years left but England need to manage him.

He doesn't play ODI's and T-20's as it is. He is strictly confined to test cricket. He won't get better management than this.

You barely bowl in LOIs. England play a lot of test cricket yearly and the strain adds over time. He hasn't had a long rest for a while to refresh his body and get his legs under him. It's necessary for fast bowlers.

It's the same old story. England go to Australia. Get hammered. Careers end. English summer begins. England wins something. England is now the best team in the world.

As always with Petersen, it's not his message that is flawed, it's the credibility of the messenger.

He definitely has more to offer, so does Anderson and perhaps even Cook. However, England have to rest Cook and Broad and bring them back against India at home.

He doesn't look 100%, he was bowling around 135 to 140 In the first test but he's been bowling 125 130 in this test match.

He for me is on burrow times as he is in a very difficult position at this point in his career. He's 31, he plays just Test cricket and he was required to be at his best this series. England need to go back to the drawing board as this series has gone probably worse than what they were expecting. But with this being said its not fair to just point the finger on just Broad. Almost everyone in the team has been poor, some have been inconsistent and some have just been poor altogether. Its gonna be a interesting period for England as soon as this series concludes as to what steps they will take to avoid these mistakes again

As opposed to Anderson...

Anderson is skilled. Granted his skills only work when its swinging, but at least he makes the ball talk. Broad on the other hand just "puts the ball there" and does nothing - the conditions do it all for him.

Anderson has 12 wickets @ 26 on this tour, conditions have been mostly unhelpful for him. If anything Anderson has had one of his best-ever years and is ageing like a fine wine, he has plenty left in the tank; meanwhile Broad has barely hit 30 years old and already he seems in rapid decline, he has seemingly been found out and lost interest.

KP on the mic during ongoing Stars v. Heat game “Michael Beer (left-arm orthodox) is bowling faster than Stuart Broad.”

Sorry , he took five wickets when it swung under night at Adelaide and another 4 wickets at WACA which is quintessential soft wickets.

5 wickets under lights, and two tailenders in the last match.

KP is taking sadistic pleasure watching England crumble! His head butt tweets towards Strauss were also in poor taste (he later on tweeted in support of him and wished his wife a speedy recovery).

If you guys remember - Broad was the main culprit in the fake twitter account which was made to ridicule KP. Apparently he and Swann shared out the password to people!

So I am not surprised with this tweet of his. Pretty poor IMO. Disliked his stint as a commentator for Channel 9.

For what it is worth, Broad is an excellent bowler at home should find his groove back with the Duke ball!

Since 2011 he averages 29 away.

He did little in the previous English summer with said Duke.

He just needs a long rest.

Most of Anderson’s wickets in Adelaide were the next morning, it was Woakes who benefited under lights.

Not to forget the fake Twitter account he created with his pal "Richard Bailey".

Today in BBL
KP was talking to coms from field and said that his team opens the bowling with Michael Beer (slow left arm) as he is faster than BROAD and gets the ball to skid in.

KP with his usual non sense.

He is the best England bowler of last 10 years. He will retire few years later.

Its hard to feel sorry for KP when he comes out with childish comments like this

One can understand why he was kicked out of the team Youd have thought hed have grown up after all that but obviously not

KP was never going to be the bigger man and allow this to pass especially after the bullying he experienced from Broad and his public school buddies. It is unedifying, of course, but I doubt Pietersen cares much for appearances.

Much much better from Broad with the bat today. It's not about him getting a 50.

It was already much better from him when he had faced 4 or 5 balls. He looked ungainly as usual against the short ball, but this time you could see he wanted to actually try and stay there. Maybe Cook nearing a 200 was an incentive, but the intent to try while being less of a tantrum queen is all that most fans expect from him.

Broady's having a good match. 4-60 and a fifty so far.
