India win the toss for the 6th time in a row and have elected to bowl

England team
AN Cook, wicketkeeperMJ Prior, IR Bell, KP Pietersen, captainPD Collingwood, A Flintoff, RS Bopara, OA Shah, SCJ Broad, JM Anderson, MS Panesar

India team
SR Tendulkar, SC Ganguly, captainR Dravid, Yuvraj Singh, KD Karthik, wicketkeeperMS Dhoni, RR Powar, Piyush Chawla, AB Agarkar, RP Singh, Z Khan

Tendu and Ganguly on the field. let's see what batting order they use today. I doubt Karthik will come one down

10/0 off 2 overs. Both batsman not looking troubled by the bowlers.

Ganguly gone to Anderson and England get the breakthrough. A short ball that flew up in the air to midwicket and and easy catch taken.

17/1

Ganguly out pulling the ball and ct at midwicket
Ind 17-1 after 3.2 over

Karthik maybe lucky there. Appeal for ct behind on leg side turned down by Aleem Dar. There was some noise. no replays yet
Ind 22-1 after 6 overs

Michael Atherton describes Ganguly as "a little bit of a loner" :))

India 23/1 off 7 overs.

India 23/1 off 7 overs.

LOL
Well he would wouldn't he, he was a Lancashire boy, and we all know what the Lancashire players thought of Ganguly, whilst he was at Lancashire!

Tendulkar dispatches a bad ball by Anderson to the point boundary. Spanking shot.

27/1

Edged and gone. Karthik goes after a scratchy innings going after a long hop by Broad but only edges it to Prior.

31/2 off 10.2. Karthik out for 4 off 22.

Karthik out ct behind off Broad. Though he can open in tests he is better suited at 4 or 5 in ODIs
Ind 31-2 off 10.2

Flintoff now gets Dravid. Roughed him up with some short pitched bowling and again a short pitcher into the corridor outside offstump. Dravid feels for it and gets an edge to Prior

India 32/3 off 12 overs.

great stuff by england. All up to Sachin and Yuvi now....let's go boys!

Botham having an orgasm about reverse swing now

Been about 15 overs. Pretty patient by his standards unless of course he just came on air (no pun intended)

Tedu get his 81st ODI 50. Both Yuvi and Tendu running well between wickets. They have taken 2 runs where some others might have taken a single only
Ind 98-3 after 28.4

I can't believe it, Tendu mishits a poor ball to the boundry and caught :(

we've seen in the past when flintoff bowls to Dhoni, he will pepper him with a few short pitched deliveries

32 overs have been bowled, 112 for 4 and Collingwood will continue

Now that's good running.

I can't believe India have brought back Agarkar. Do they seriously have no other option in their squad?

You can see the ball rotating there

Agarkar gone, India need to dump him, he is really playing the shi.ttest ever here

He keeps finding a way back into the team after this game I hope he never plays for India again

sixer for yuvraj, 50 for him amazing shot, he needs to be at 3, he always ends up with the tail

Yuvraj batting wonderfully! India in a very, very tight position.

Hari, Yuvi at 3 may not be such a bad idea.

Powar goes and India now in danger of not completing their 50 overs.

India 192/8 after 47.3 overs...

superb bowling today from Broad!

Have to say ive seen more purpose, planning, and desire from england team in this series then i have from an other england team to have played ODIS in last 15 years.

Anderson/Broad look like an excellent combo in making at top of order. Flintoff is a good 1st change bowler. Now if they can kick prior out, open with bell, get shah in at 3 and get a new keeper in england may for 1st time since 1992 have a decent ODI outfit!

Prior gone caught at third-man. Powar finally manages to catch one. Second English batsman to get a duck

England 14/2

some chatting going on between Pietersen, Yuvraj and Karthik and umpires talk to the players
Tendu misses Bell at first slip and ball goes to 4
Eng 19-2

ooo! Agarkar gets one! Very much of the same start by England.

Bell on fire.

19/2 after a 4.

Bell cuts another 4 with the ball going straight through Powar's legs. 35/2

Bowled him! Bell leaves one on off stump and it hits it. That's the big fish and Agarkar has got it. Terrible misjudgement by Ian Bell.

35/3 game on!

England in a spot of bother now. Pietersen/Collingwood partnership is going to be crucial. The other batsmen haven't had much time at the crease so it will definitely be difficult for them to fire in such a pressure situation

Zaheer gets denied a blatant LBW! That was as PLUMB as it can get! Aleem Dar fooled by the angle I think, nothing else could have saved KP

Zaheer rightfully peeved off

Nah nothing to do with the angle. There were two noises......snicko shows there was an inside edge so brilliant decision by Aleem Dar.

Aleem Dar is the best umpire in the world

And he hasn't even been nominated in this years ICC Awards.

That's gone through. That will hurt India. It's hurt India all series. The captain has to take the blame there.

7 from the over
Eng 66-4 after 12 @ 5.5 - need 147 to win @ 3.87
Ind was 32-3

Shot from Collingwood off the back foot for 4 through cover.

England 70/3

71-3

Nice going after early wickets.

That descion from Dar was brilliant. Amazing.

FOUR! Collingwood smashes Chawla thru midwicket.

***** KP gone. Pulls it up in the air and mistimed straight to midwicket where Chawla takes it. Agarkar gets his 3rd.

England 81/4

Big blow. HUGE blow. MASSIVE BLOW!

Kevin Pietersin departs.

81/4.

UGH.

this is where the long batting linueup needs to come through for England.

Woops! Forget again, Flintoff is still there. Very much possible. Ravi Bopara still there too.

Flintoff gone now too. Daft batting from the big man. He's just ballooned it to point with a loose drive. He's gone for 5.

Oh boy. Just when I said it. THings looking very bleak for England now with Flinty gone.

94/5.

Low target means England can still come back here..but they need one of Shah or Bopara to stay there for a long time.

This is Owais Shah's big chance to show what he can do. Come on boy!

He HAS shown what he can do, he had a tremendous series against W.I.

Owais Shah falls to Powar. Nasser proclaims "Game On." A little late aren't we Nas?

Sigh, Shah departs. I was really hoping for something good from him today.

But England can still take this. Only 100 runs to and Bopara still there and the tail can bat, and not to mention that they have tons of time.
