South Africa 1-0 up and look to seal their 1st series win in england since re-admission. will their nerves get better of them as they have lost leading postions in all previous tours to end with two drawn series and one defeat in england.

Its time for some so called england stars vaughan, collingwood to produce the goods for england as its been a while since they last did!

It's a bit dangerous isn't it?

Surely they should pull out

I don't think England are as closely matched to South Africa as in the past. They're a little outmatched at this stage. However with Steyn out the S.A attack looks a little timid if he pitch doesn't take seam and only offes swing. It'll be a good game I think.

im hoping gunther can send the fake stars back to the pavilion shaking their heads...heres a challenge, lets count how many "nudges around the corner" mr useless mackum-wood can muster!!..lol!!

Does anyone have any insight into the Edgbaston pitch, what types of bowlers it supports and how it tends to play over the course of 5 days?

Solid stuff from England - 52 for 0.

2 wickets down in succession.

gunther on a hat trick

Holding is such a *******.

He's saying Aleem Dar made a mistake giving Vaughan out when snicko confirmed there was an obvious edge.

And now Holding corrects himself .. too bad he had that anti-Pak bias to begin with.

KP hanging around the crease like a fool after being given out.

Has he been taking lessons from teendu ?

This is the dismissal of Vaughan.

Hotspot didnt show anything, but if u look at snicko, but is nowhere near pad, so the sound HAD to come from the bat hitting the ball...

No one heard it really, except the umpire and Nel. Even the keeper didnt appeal...

kp..LOL..LOL..the mental strength of a pea...the pattern is always teh same..one big innings in a series and then its "oh im soo good look at me, look at me!"..bye bye loser..lol

^^^^ I heard it very clearly on my feed.

Anyhows .. England at 82-3 and should be very disappointed considering that this is a flat pitch.

dont worry kashif..england have cuptaan "nudge" coming in soon!!..challenge still stands...count wobbles favourite shot..lol..

So, everybody joining me on the Nel is a hero bandwagon now?

Can anyone confirm whether Edgbaston is as empty as I predicted it would be, given the scandalous ticket prices for this match? I don't have access to TV pictures.

:))) :)))

Nudgy has averaged 13 this FC season...and the English muppet selectors bring him in to "strengthen" the batting

Nudgy gets off the mark...a mere 30 minutes after arriving at the crease!

and cuptaan nudge is out!!..lol...and a grand total of 0 nudges around the corner!!..lol..lol..

Oh dear Nudgy...what an abysmal performance yet again!

so vaugnies favourites are falling like nine pins here!!...rubbish cuptaan and rubbish selection...travesty that other players are ignored for cuptaan nudge and the nudgettes!!

David Lloyd Admirably stating exactly what we have been saying:

How do those players feel who are in form wondering how theyget a place in the team.
This is not the place to find your form - doesnt matter how good you are in the dressing room - go back to county to find your form

Hello.

Its me. Oxy.

England are 168-5

Collingwood is out. A tripp to Multan will sort his wos out....

What the hell are England selectors thing? Are they on a deathwish??

theres too much favoritism in the england dressing room...its almost resembling maliks dressing room..lol..lol..!!!...so drunkoff's in with the sherminator!!...lol..is it me or is freddies speech getting all slurry latley??

So Mr. Nudge around the corner gets out trying to nudge one around. :)))

Two Test series being played at the moment.

In one, Nudgy Colly's England getting thrashed on home soil.

In the other, Choker Tendu's India getting pwned more than Bangladesh by the Lankan lions.

Leaving aside Pak victories - can it get any better than this?

Yeah, Bell could have got an unbeaten hundred, Ambrose a gritty 50 and Nel could have 10 wickets in the innings all caught by The Beard.

2 policeman shown on Sky Sports - they have a warrant for the arrest of Paul Collingwood and Michael Vaughan on charges of 'Deceiving the Public into believing they were in fact cricketers'

Solid start by england today but once again S.A have fought back well and Gunther has bowled superbly! Flintoff and ambrose need to get england up to atleast 300-50 here!

Another enlightened selection - Tim Ambrose perishes!

Bowled by Kallis for 22

212-7

Ambrose 22 bowled by Kallis. inside edge
Eng 212-7
15-16 overs left today

Kallis hardly takes wickets these days in test matches but hes bowled superbly today!

New ball due shortly. Flintoff needs to go on the attack now!

england have put in another poor performance and well shows how over the top they went after their series win against NZ

Lets face it, England areonly interested in Ashes - thats all the talk is here. They might as well not play any games in between!!!

england go no chance of winning the ashes on their current form, they cant bat or bowl, they are among the minnows of world cricket on their current form

Bludgeoned over midwicket for SIX!

Let's see some more of that Freddie :D

England 231 all out

There bowlers some how have to get them out of a mess now!

Man, I just love Flintoff. My favorite all-rounder. It's practically he and KP which forms the nuleus of the Engish team.

Flintoff is the man!

Cant believe people doubt this guy as a bowler (considering Englands talent pool is lacking in this aspect) -
its what hes good at IMO

Why do they KEEP crying about the decision of Vaughan & KP????

Vaughan might not have known he nicked it, and the keeper also didnt know, but the bowler, the umpire, and most importantly the snicko clearly showed he had a faint edge on it!

KP was given out caught, and it was a wrong decision. But if it wasnt caught, it would've been lbw

So whats the fuss about???

And im sure they will keep crying tonight when they show the highlights

Why again, is collingwood playing this match? :))

I thought this was going to be a good hard fought series. So far England have been rubbish.

if england play the way are playing now with the saffies, the aussies will crucify them next year, it will be another white wash for them without a doubt

I'm not so sure. We (South Africa)could probably beat Australia now to be fair.

Could but won't, should but won't.

True if we go by history. I think it all comes down to the first test. If South Africa get a good start (even the first day in fact) , they will really build up some self belief. I certainly don't think Australia are going to be without some nerves. They've done a lot of talking through the years and they'd hate to slip up on the banana peels they left lying around.

If there is one thing I would say about Australia (despite their chickening out of Pakistan, bullying etc.), it is that, once on the pitch, they are a side that plays with supreme confidence. If you really think Australia will be nervous about playing your side, which has habitually gotten thrashed by the Aussies...well, dream on.

We'll see soon enough. I think we're quietly very confident too. There's nothing in the current Aussie team to lose sleep over.
