After the wash out in the first match , the teams move to Old Trafford for the second ODI game. Match is set to start at 10.15 am local time with some showers expected late in the evening

England to have a bowl

Here are the teams:

England 1 Michael Carberry, 2 Kevin Pietersen, 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Joe Root, 5 Eoin Morgan (capt), 6 Ravi Bopara, 7 Jos Buttler (wk), 8 Ben Stokes, 9 James Tredwell, 10 Boyd Rankin, 11 Steven Finn

Australia 1 Aaron Finch, 2 Shaun Marsh, 3 Shane Watson, 4 Michael Clarke (capt), 5 George Bailey, 6 Adam Voges, 7 Matthew Wade, 8 James Faulkner, 9 Mitchell Johnson, 10 Clint McKay, 11 Fawad Ahmed

Idk why but I find both teams pretty boring to watch these days...

What would be a par score ? 260 ?

Nope. Weather seems good and sunny so far till later in the evening.

Aus 22-1 after 6 overs

This sausage and egg sandwich and a can of coke I am eating is more interesting than this game

Brilliant opening bowling. Fast, short and hostile.

was that out ..? or not.. hotspot showing nothing, why don't they make use of snikco

Big series for Stokes and Rankin. And why is Trott playing ? He could do with a bit of R&R before the Ashes.

And how good is RavBops with the ball. He is one of these hard to get away bowlers who is also always within a chance of taking wickets because of his skiddy wicket-wicket bowling style.

Lovely day here at Old Trafford.

Plenty of space in the press box :)

Aleem Dar already in the thick of the action.

RavBop is useful with the ball. Has slowed the run rate right down.

Clarke stood and stared in disbelief after Finch played that shot.

Stupid batting from Finch.

One slog too many from the one-dimensional Finch. This explains why he averages 29 in proper cricket.

Bopara looks much leaner and fitter. It is great to see that English players improve their fitness while they are part of the national setup. On the other hand, young players like Nasir Jamshed show no improvement in their fitness even after three years in international cricket.

^ They've added a kiwi to the ranks now? :)))

This team is as multicutural as they come :)

What should we call 'England' now?

Stokes already looks a better bowler than Woakes. Bowls a heavy balls and is pacier.

Stokes is rubbish. Didn't realise he was from New Zealand. That explains it.

Pitch is a belter. England will be chasing 300.

Stokes is a fine talent, he will come good.

He was off from being a contender for the worst import in history. That title belongs to Sir Luke Ronchi :afridi

I agree.

Were you thinking the same thing when Guptil was crunching your trundlers around the park? :waqar

Where did Guptill go when the real ODI business kicked off, the Champions Trophy? :waqar

Australia don't have much firepower to push for 330+

But remember that as well as being rubbish anyway we are also playing a weakened lineup.

Australia will probably win this series and nobody will care.

Should retire from One dayers.

Needs to extend his test career.

He's a pro. Values all formats highly.

I think the only reason why he gave up T20s was because he wasn't suited to that format.

Probably, at least KP is playing :)

I cant recall the last time he played an ODI for England.

Sir Trott will have to play a crucial hand tonight if England are to chase this. He'd be the foil to Pietersen, Morgan, Bopara and the hack Buttler.

Voges, Wade, Faulkner, Johnson can all swing the willow. Depends on whether they can pull it off today or not.

Clarke's back is knackered already. No way he can play until 36 unless he is Tests only.

Which is why he should retire from ODIs.

But sadly it will be 2015 and curtains.

Scoreboard pressure is the only way Aus are going to win this

LOl.. Ausie Bowling nowadays are so bad than Indian trundlers..:nehra...

England would easily chase this with more than a over to spare.... Backing Root and Morgan to get a 100+

Unplayable delivery to get Trott first ball. Johnno at his best.
