Well in that case I totally agree. They’ve been many scientists, including Chinese, who’ve called for closure of the Chinese wet markets for years. Should have listened to them as well. Alas.

I doubt it.

Most of the last few outbreaks have originated from China but nothing has been done. What makes you think it’ll be different this time?

I didn’t say that there would be anything different but I’m hopeful that they’ve learnt some lesson. They’ve realized their mistake and closed the wet markets, well, at least for now. Let’s hope they remained closed.

World was not prepared for the pandemic and it got exposed with Coronavirus. I hope that world will learn from this and will be ready next time.
