Every domestic fielding coach needs to be fired

The fielding in this tournament has been an absolute disgrace of the highest order. It is completely unacceptable how bad these players are at fielding, including young players.

It's not even the poor stops, poor technique and non-existent IQ to stop a ball but the level of dolly catches being dropped over and over and over and over again, it is utterly embarrassment. I don't know who these fielding coaches but whoever they are, they need to be gone and replaced with some competent ones.

Frankly speaking, fielding standards need to raised significantly and coaches need to put in a lot of work & drills with these players to get them to an acceptable level.

They should be tested on the fielding and catching and if they can't take simple catches they should not be in the squad and loose thier contracts.
Fielding coaches need to be held accountable and should either be fined or sacked from thier position.

Weren’t these squads and coaching roles only announced a month or two ago? How can you fire a coaching panel that has only had weeks in the job with much of it spent on actual match days?

I’m all for accountability but there is also need for reasonable expectations and timelines to show improvement. These players should know the basics of catching and fielders before they get to this level anyway so there’s work to be done at the lower levels as well.

Well they even have fast-bowling camps where many rookies like Haris rauf come in and be like first time fielding in his playing time when put into the match

Fielding is a basic thing in cricket which every player should have the ability to catch and stop the ball..

Yes but when applied at the grassroots level for the players to improve fielding and focus on it. Atleast put fielding in skill matrix to measure for them to graduate selection to next level then , it will be get fixed automatically

Pakistan is very poor in the fielding standards of international cricket, when dig deep the source then u know it was not even a skill that was asked to focus on at grassroots level..
