Interesting that Cesc has opted to go to the Grand Prix instead of being with his team mates as they take on Fulham today.

End of the road for Cesc at Arsenal perhaps?

Or he is back in Spain for his holidays because this is the last game of the season and he wasn't fit for this.

After a nice day with my family, ready to watch the game with my grandad. Come on Arsenal! Lets finish well boys! #Arsenal

He's a tool. You stick with your mates above all else.

A joke really - no excuse for not being there, regardless of whether you are fit to play or not

Unless he has specifically been permitted by the club to go home early.

He has played non-stop for three years now (Euro, Confederation Cup and World Cup), has had multiple injuries this season and had a break up. Wenger said that he has been mentally distressed and the pressure of captaincy had been a bit too much for him. Under these circumstances, it is perfectly plausible that he was asked/allowed to go home and rest.

He might go in the transfer market. Nasri has not yet signed a new contract. Not good signs for Arsenal.

That's fine with me. There's been many occasions before where Fabregas has not travelled with the squad depsite being ruled out... Instead choosing to watch the game back home.

Barca may run in Fabregas's blood, but Arsenal is in his heart.

He's given Arsenal many hints on the official website that he'll sign a contract - Wenger has also assured fans that Nasri won't do a "flamini" and leave all of a sudden.

Wenger and the board seriously need to spend some money this summer if they want Arsenal to compete at the top. Finishing 4th is simply not good enough and they have to sign some proven, big game, match winners to prevent the annual post-Feb depression. Otherwise the gap will just get bigger and bigger and soon it will be a matter of competing for a champions league spot.

I have no problem Cesc not being with his team mates...but watching F1 that is unforgiveable. Just shows he's a nerdy petrolhead....ahem!
