They may or may not have been the answer but fans confused their hatred for these guys because Mickey was fast tracking them and since they were playing all three formats, ppl would often ask for both to be dropped from on format for performance in the other.
Having said that, I think they have to perform in domestic as well to earn recalls

Looks like a straight forward answer now and Junaids mentioned it multiple times and correctly so. Yasir’s overseas record is as mediocre as it gets so not sure why Mickey and now Misbah persisted with him. Yasir has been a constant phenomenon in Pak’s overseas struggles, we need to move on from him in overseas tests.

Yasir leaks runs and thus releases pressure and you cant afford your spinner to god for 5,6 runs per over without taking wickets in overseas tests and if that happens any chance of winning goes straight out of the window.

He doesn’t have the control to play on true pitches.

i don't understand why shadab has even been dropped, he has played 4 tests away in the last couple of years @ a batting average of 44 and bowling averagee of 29.

all four tests have been played away in england, south africa, and ireland. if we could work on him he will be very hand spinner with a batting option away from home.

i know its a small sample but potention is there, we need play 5 bowlers and some of them need to bat abit.

uncle iftikhar is embarrasing as a 5th bowler. and yasir shah isnt very effective in away conditions averaging with an average of 60+ and he brings nothing as a batsmen as he averages 14 with the bat.

even in the current QEA Trophy shadab is averaging 28 and yasir 39 with the ball

with fahim ashraf, he has a bowling average 26 in england, southafrica and ireland but he has been ppor with the bat so i wouldnt reaaly concider him, we need bowlers who can bat abit.

seems like the reason shadab has been dropped is because the current setup is trying to undo everything mickey has done instead of working off and improving what has mickey left.

He has been dropped because he struggled in odi’s

No point in comparing four average blokes against each other.

Lets find more Babar Azams and Shaheen Afridis in domestic cricket.

There is something common between Shadab, Faheem and Imran - they are all garbage who wouldn’t be anywhere near the team in a proper cricket nation.

None of these thoroughly mediocre cricketers are the answer to our problems. We need to stop presenting these false choices.

If we're looking for a batting AR, instead of recycling trash we should try new faces.

Aamer Yamin has a FC batting average of 39 and a bowling average of 26. If he can at least produce 35/40 with bat and ball at Test level, that's good enough for a No. 7 and 5th bowler who can chip in with 10-12 overs per innings to keep the strike bowlers fresh.
