Some think that Ibra is a Muslim too, One of his parent is, thats for sure.

Another one, Sahin and that other RM fruitloop who dives for fun in Turkey games, cant recall his name

There was a time when Theiry Henry was considering Islam because of the muslim players in the french national team.
 
I don't follow football therefore don't know about names mentioned in OP. However, there are some famous names like Messi Christiana Ronaldo and Messi etc.

Any Muslim Footballer who has a potential to compete against one of them?

I dont understand why Muslims, mainly Pakistanis, feel good when other Muslims, who likely dont give 2 hoots about us, do well in some field.
I also find it funny when I hear them say, WE ruled Spain or whatever place.
You did not rule it. Nor did your ancestors. They were Arab Moors who do not like us at all and definitely dont want to be associatedwith us

Quality player is Afellay, unlucky with injuries plus it is tough to get into the Barca side

Very unrealistic BUT I would love to see us make a cheeky bid for him, need to flood our team with brothers :yk
 
BTW he said that Islam is a great religion and he himself grew up in south Paris, which is a predominantly muslim area.... He also said that many of his team mates converted to Islam(Good :D)

That wasn't AJ it was Saudi club Al Hilal's own media. The person on Youtube who uploaded that made a mistake.

As for AJ being "crazy" and "reporting many lies", care to back that spurious claim up with some evidence? Personally I've found AJ English's coverage to be far more balanced and interesting than the BBC or other state media, and leagues ahead of Murdoch's outlets.

Because all Muslims are brothers and you would always wish the best for your brothers. As far as I know, those Arab Moors definitely cared for us because they wouldn't have busted their behinds to give us the light of Islam.

Plus Toure, Abidal, Afellah and maybe even Ozil have publically said that they want to be role-models for yound Muslim footballers.

You really spoilt this thread with your negativity.

whats interesting is France has a large Muslim population so not surprising there are some muslim players in their squad who have made it..one being an ATG..

Germany has had turkish residents since the 1920's so no suprise that a turk has made it finally..

England have a large Muslim population yet not a single Muslim footballer??hmmn..

and in comparison to france englands arab population is not that much

I watched his interview on SVT(Sweden`s BBC) a few weeks ago and he said that he doesnt believe in God and doesnt follow any religion.
 
Ilkay Gundogan plays for Dortmund. Believe he is in the Germany Euro 2012 squad. Also Ozil reads the Ayat-ul-kursi before each match. So he is a real brother! In the French team there are many muslims aswell. Rami, Benzema, Nasri, Ben Arfa, Ribery.
 
Apparently cisse,ba,ben arfa and tiote will boycott of wearing new Wonga sponsor on Newcastle shirt.

What you have asked is similar to how many Christian footballers are there. All the top footballers of all time have predominately been Christian, but they don't think like that.

There is a guy playing for Apoel in the CL with Pakistani heritage.
 
There are so many now so it's not really interesting anymore.

Every Team pretty much have one at least and you can also now see clubs wishing us Eid Mubarak etc.

At the top of my head.. Arsenal have Ozil, Elneny, Mustafi, Liverpool have Mane, Salah and Can, United with Pogba and Chelsea with Bakayoko, Kante. Tottenham have Dembele.

And here's a surprise one; South Korean goalkeeper Lee Woon Jae, who played well in their rise to the 2002 WC semis, was a Muslim as well
