Fans' reactions summed up after the much anticipated clash between arch-rivals

I'm requesting and hoping for this to be a separate thread and not be merged or buried in another thread. I'm really hoping some of the "powers to be" watch this ground reality of some of us ardent PCT fans with this being a dedicated thread for how PCB and players have let down the Pakistan fans. It is heart breaking.

More than the actual result it’s just about fanfare and an outing.

Everyone knew barring a miraculous performance from 1-2 individuals the script of the average Pak-India game for the last 20 years…

Pakistan all out between 220-250. India chases it down with 10-20 overs to spare. Man of the match Kohli with yet another 50 or 100 vs Pak whether in his 20s, 30s or potentially 50s in the future..

There was no chance for a Pak win, not even 10%.

If this lot really believed Babar and Rizwan will win the game then well, accept it. We are just not good enough.

Like @Mamoon has been saying for years, lower the expectations and none of you guys will be hurt. Pak cricket is a bang average (I would go as far as to say even lower than Bangladesh or Afghanistan) and the less you expect great miracles then less all this will be any relevance to your daily lives.

The only annoying part is somehow Kohli performs against PCT and remains, heck @jnaveen1980 yesterday predicted this , I was like in my mind doubt PCT can be that bad but lol.

I think it was poor from ICC to have Pakistan playing NZ and Ind within 3-4 days of start of the tournament. They should have kept India Pakistan game for the last. Host getting out within 3-4 days is not good from viewers perspective.

It’s the CT and unfortunately Zimbabwe & Ireland can’t qualify for it, the only teams capable of making a Pakistan match interesting. In the CT you can’t afford to slip so early and that’s the challenge, you need to be a live dog from the word go, it makes the CT 17 a very impressive triumph by Pakistani standards. I don’t think it would have made a difference if they faced BD up front.

Not a fan because he goes missing against SENA in KO.
But yeah i think I will bet on him to come good against PCT anytime now.

Yes. He was in a similar form when he played Pakistan at the MCG. Suddenly he became a different beast.

South africa Afghanistan and Pakistan are on par

Followed by Bangladesh and Sri Lanka

Some people like @RedwoodOriginal thought we conquered the world by beating a weak south africa away and and Australia team that was more interested tests vs India and rizwan has become the saviour

This is the real competition and we are a poor mid table team
