An excellent commentator who has brilliant knowledge of not only the West Indian players, but he also a tremendous level of knowledge about the Pakistani players.

Good to listen to. Informative. Talks sense and doesn't try to be a comedian on air like some commentators do.

I mentioned him in the match thread, he's been commentating for a long time and writing on West Indian cricket. Very easy and soothing voice to listen to.

Carib commies along with English and Kiwi commies are the best. Not biased and do not go over board for every little shot. His commentary along with Dujon was a treat to listen to in the recently concluded Ind-WI Test series.

He reminds me of the late Tony Cozier, but talks a bit faster and I was surprised when he mentioned a certain Ali Naqvi (?) scoring a ton against windies on debut.

He and Ian Bishop will be great to listen to over this series.

Ali Naqvi scored the 100 vs SA, Fazeer was surprised that Naqvi didn't play the next series vs WI

And that is what you call knowledge and research. Ask some of our commentators who Ali Naqvi even is and they probably won't have a clue.

First time I heard him was on radio commentating on the 1999 world cup and I thought then that he is a good commentator. Acute and erudite.

I am sorry but listening Viv richards is so painful so so boring i don't think i can bear his commentary anymore.

I just wish some of our Pakistani commentators would do some homework and research like Fazeer obviously has bothered to do.

Ian bishop and fazeer both are really good my fave is ian bishop I just love his commentary too good much better than sub continental so called commentators

And on opposite side, our commentators dont even know the correct names of players apart from Bazid

I'm actually happy to see Bazid Khan back. Love his commentary, doesn't waste his time saying random crap that doesn't matter or stating the obvious.

Incredible knowledge from Fazeer, making some of the other commentators look like novices.

Seems to be able to remember matches, incidents, players as if it was happening now. Brilliant from him.

Bazid, Fazeer and Bishop have been great. Ramiz and Viv are terrible. Waqar's okay but talks nonstop unnecessarily.

Not quite Tony Cozier but reminds me of him, very very good commentertor . Very knowledgeable and easily on ears.

Really impressed with Fazeer and he should be commentating more often.

Also, Viv was like death during the LOI, but he sounds much better in Tests and suited to the longer format.

Really impressive. Has knowledge on games probably way before his time and almost feels like a human encyclopedia.

When Ramiz was testing his knowledge I was surprised at how much Fazeer knew and I'm guessing some of the stuff he was recalling Ramiz himself had no clue about.

Regarding Bazid, he may be insightful but I feel he is not cut out to be a commentator. His voice sounds boring and expressionless which is not what you want when the ground is almost completely empty. Prefer Waqar as he has a much better expression which makes the game sound more exciting and watchable.

I don't enjoy listening to Bazid at all, Waqar is OK, Viv was not bad, Ramiz is bearable. Fares is really good.

why cant Pakistani commentators be like him?

Fazeer is the best commentator currently barring English and Australian commentators. Listening to Bazid makes you want to rip your ears off.

Thought Fazeer really did justice to that dramatic finale to the Dominica Test. One of the best commentators around, I look forward to him this summer when the West Indies tour England as he usually does Test Match Special on the radio.

Fazeer is a huge WI supporter. His heart breaks whenever he sees Carib boys get manhandled by the opposition or simply choke under pressure (like the above video).

I am glad someone started a thread on this. He really is one of the best commentators.

Both he and Bishop are great commentators. Both are knowledgeable and bring great insight to proceedings.

While we have a certain...Ramiz :|

Wrong. Ali naqvi scored century on debut against South Africa at pindi. I watched that game

Though the delivery was covered by Fazeer but surprisingly even Waqar was good in the beginning....'They know the importance of this delivery' said with a forceful voice.

Fazeer along with Bill Lawry, Nas and Bishop are the leading commies among the current lot. No one even comes close to these four in terms of quality, insight and knowledge of the game. Bumble is pretty good too with his laid back style and all.

The rest are just...........

"Why did he do that" in that Trini accent has been stuck in my head since that day

If someone cuts me off in traffic I shout "Why did he do that", if one of my subordinates at work messes up I think "Why did he do that"... lol

i like how waqar or rameez would ask the stats guy to provide them with info and then later say it on mic as if they knew

Fazeer's been very popular on TMS.
