After the Diljit Dosanjh controversy, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has requested singers Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan to cancel their upcoming 'Throwback 90's' concert, scheduled to take place in the US in November, over the alleged organiser, a Pakistani man, reports news agency ANI. The FWICE stated in its letter that they've asked Indian artistes to refrain from associating with Pakistani organisers many times. The film body requested the singers to 'not throw open any ground for disharmony and displeasures.' "FWICE holds the dignity of our country of paramount importance and it has time and again informed the members of the film fraternity to abstain from associating with a Pakistani National in any platform of cultural or professional activities in Pakistan or in any part of the world," the letter stated.

"Needless to add here that you all are acclaimed singers of India and have garnered enormous people from this country. Guess you would reciprocate the same sentiments with your countrymen and not throw open any ground for disharmony and displeasures arising out of any adverse eventuality in the future," the letter added.

Before performing in the US, Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan are scheduled to perform in Dubai in October.

Last week, the FWICE requested the Ministry of External Affairs to cancel Diljit Dosanjh's visa before he could perform in Houston allegedly at the behest of a Pakistani national. The Do You Know singer issued a statement saying that he has postponed the concert and added that his contract for the concert tour is with an agency called Shri Balaji Entertainment. Diljit Dosanjh added, "I love my country and will always stand for the greater interest of the nation. India always," Diljit Dosanjh said.

Last month, singer Mika Singh was criticised for performing at an event organised by former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf's close relative. The FWICE and the All India Cine Workers Association banned the singer. The ban was revoked after Mika issued a public apology.

Selective bias and boycott makes India looks like a puss Country.

What is India afraid of total boycott of Pakistan?

Gotto agree with you. India and Pakistan don't need each other. The trade is almost non-existent with just a couple of bil anyway even in hey days. Pak promoters can easily hire Pak singers for the shows but they want Indian crowds though.

Good hard slap on Pakistani promoter .hopefully he will learn from this experience

I am sure singers did not care who promoted them as long as they made money, they didn't care about what part of the world they belong to.

But they are afraid of backward Indians, who would be quick to question their dharam and patritotism because they have been told to do so by backward politicians they have elected.

Remember that time when Modi trying to win an election sent Indian jets in other country to Bomb trees and ended up loosing poor Indian soldier for no reason. what a waste of money and life.

What exactly should he learn from this? He lives in US and will find someone else to promote. I am sure his business doesn’t depend on couple of singers from India.

Lets also remove songs of Pakistani singers like Atif from Youtube. And we should also not copy songs from Pakistan and make money. :inti

Not everybody is savvy as the Americans or gullible as the Chinese. Trump and America are at loggerheads with China on the trade front but the patriotic Chinese are buying the iPhones, wearing Nike shoes and sipping coke while watching Avengers like sheep. It takes an advanced economy and strategy over decades to unlink the perception of corporates, individuals vs government and trick people. The Indians are no where close. At this point it's all about that Pak promoter not making money off Indian crowds. For that they are ready to sacrifice the wages of those poor Indian singers. It's stupid in a way. Government can wage wars but the goal for corporates and individuals should be to make as much money as they can off the same people. It needs emotional maturity and a cold hard capitalistic mindset.

I was specifically talking about him doing business with indian singer this should be good lesson for him

it depends all on him what he wants to do about this embarrassment. One should have some self respect and principle to avoid this kind of situation in future .

This is pretty sad from a apparent secular country. Politics should never come between a job.

Just watched Kumar Sanu's video where he is making it clear he will not work for any Pakistani promoters, he looked so scared as if he had committed worst sin in his life.

Imagine these are the hatemongers and m****s we once loved to listen to thinking Music is above all borders. Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan also refused to work with Pakistani promoters. These morons are brainwashing their generations with so much hatred to an extent where even professional/commercial relationship with Pakistanis seem to be a sin.

I always preached to my fellow countrymen that we nee to rise above the hatred and work for peace an friendship.....Average Indian in Modi's India on the other hand...

This guy has changed India for the absolute worst, forever I'm afraid.

The atmosphere has been vitiated to such an extent in India that if you don't sing peans for sanghi snakes, you are an anti national. Worse still, if you dare to talk about Pakistan even in a bit of positive light, you should start your own countdown towards destruction.

Such is the extent of hate preached by these hate merchants....But our gullible and moronic electorate just loves them.

This is new muscular India, the martial qaum which has mooh mein ram, baghal mein churi, swimming in the river of testosterone released by the Supreme Commander Shri Shri Damodar Narendra Bhai Modi.

That is terrible indeed, there was a time when anyone talking about boycott of each other would be considered stupid & extremist (even playing cricket was somewhat OK). Now it's so normal that people find completely fine to boycott anything/everything related to each other.

Our family friend recently visited Indian grocery store (they had always gone there) and couldn't find "Shan Masala" and when asked the shop owner, he said we don't stock any Pakistani products any more. What kind of pathetic loser mentality is this?

Unfortunately Indians (or bh**ts to be exact) seem to be not only fine with this growing hatred but actually proud of it as they use it as some sort of badge of honour.

No matter how you try to spin the end result is, Almost all Muslims of India and any Indian affiliating anything that has to do with Pakistan is label anti-India and terrorist sympathizer.

This is scary.

Precisely, the hate the Sanghis have unleashed on Indian society will take decades to heal, even if BJP/RSS/VHP/ABVP etc cease to exist at this very instant. Unfortunately I am afraid we haven't seen the worst.
Advani to Modi to Shah to Yogi to Pragya. The normalization of hate continues unabated. Those who were unacceptable yesterday are saviors today, those who appear unacceptable today will be heroes tomorrow. This is the story of degeneracy of Indian society, I am afraid of what comes after Pragya Thakur.

No. He's got the right attitude. As a.promoter he needs to make money. Indian crowds will help him do that. It's a loss to the Indian crowd abroad and the singers. India has a long way to go to attain emotional maturity. As a fact Asia in general. Remember the time when Chinese started boycotting South Korean music and goods because of THAAD?

But the guy only got 40 percent of the votes. Where are the other 60 percent?

Sad to see wonderful singers jumping on the I am a patriot bandwagon.
