Monty feels England still need to prove their worth - by winning in India!

Most of the players are familiar with Indian conditions. But it won't be easy though as spinners come in to picture. If i remember right England hasn't won a ODI series in India since 1984. Nearly 38 years. Hasn't won a T20 series in 11 years.

But they reached a world cup final in 1987 in india- eden gardens and won v india in semi final
So do not underestimate them

Nobody is going to under-estimate them. Buttler is very much familiar with these tracks and dimensions of the ground

Post 2015 England LOI team would beat India’s best ever LOI team in any era…Monty is just tryna be controversial for some views but no one takes him seriously lol

MS Dhoni won a WC at HOME, where they were expected to win…big deal.

And they lost 2016 world cup due to 1 bad over in eden gardens

They will def be semi finalist minimum

They got reduced to 68/8 this year by Bumrah lol Their bullying works on flat tracks. In any slightly bowler friendly conditions England always come a cropper. They have to beat the current line up first consistently before beating any ODI line up of India

BREAKING NEWS - reports suggest that batsmen don’t do well on bowler friendly pitches.

He is right. India is the benchmark ultimately.

Every team needs to perform in England, Australia and India to prove their worth as a great cricket nation.

They are perfectly capable. But in India once again conditions of the surface will play a big part. Root will be very hand in Indian conditions both with ball and bat. They will still go in as favorites to win. But subcontinent teams will definitely not make it easy for them

We need to start building for our ODI team now. Yes, beating England in the finals would’ve been the greatest heist ever done in a World Cup, considering our position in group stages. But we have another chance. Lifting the cup in Delhi in 2023, or whichever city it is. I just said Delhi because it sounds cool. Imagine that. Crazy.

And it’s very VERY doable. Familiar conditions. We just need to unearth a solid spinner to play alongside Shadab. Abrar Ahmed? Maybe. Either way, I’m excited. Revenge for Mohali 2011 about to be paid back 10x.

Sorry England, but this was your final stop. Our team is young and hadn’t tasted a World Cup final before, now they have, and they want more. Heartbreaker for English fans and wanna be Englishmen.

Doubt England will make semis of 2023 WC. On turning tracks India, Pakistan, BD, Afghanistan and SL will all fancy beating them.

number 1 odi team is aussies of late 90s to mid 10s, the continued domination was unreal.

this team have a chance to equal the windies of the 70s as the second best team if they win in 23 given they have revolutionised the game with their hyper aggressive power hitting.

for now only those two odi teams are ATG status.

England got extremely lucky in 2019 and even in 2022 they got lucky with shaheen injury. About time they are exposed

Toss is an understated effect. Semi would not have been one sided had india chased on that pitch against that attack.
