Oh Maan I loved it... That was it.. For a batsman this is your job to finish it, to end it...
When you're done; the match is done...

Absolutely classic hall of fame way to end it..

Absolute rock star...brilliant celebration totally nailed it.

excellent celebration esp the ice coldness from his face expression....or lack thereof; never knew elliott was a boss...

Seeing the headline seemed disgraceful but on seeing it yeah that was pretty cool :narine

I don't like it, but what was Misbah complaining about?

my guess is he is wound up with sami not bowling it to plan.
sami did bottle it. it had to be short or absolutely full.
if he was gonna pitch it there it has to be a slow off cutter

Elliot always has the most dramatic celebrations :)) that has to be the best for a batsman lol what a legend

He may not be the most skillful and talented batsman around, but he surely has nerves of steel. Pretty much the opposite of Amla and de Villiers.

I love this guy. That was epic!! He innings in the WC against Saffers was the best finish I've seen in ages.

Elliot has a knack of guiding chases. Three chases instantly spring to mind, versus Pakistan in the Champion's Trophy semi final, versus South Africa in the ODI WC semi final and today in the PSL. He is definitely a clutch player. Unfortunate that he didn't have much of a career with NZ and was always in and out of the side.

Sombody should make a video with this bat drop immediately followed by Ajmal's IDone. Now that would be epic :afridi

would have been funny if he laughed afterwards, as it stands a bit lame. but marks for novelty.

Ahh saw it live and did the same thing with my pencil. If only Yasir didn't have to hug him like he just saw his mother after ages.

Younis ka catch drop yaar

I will never forget that champions trophy semi final.

Younis dropped him at slip and he went on to finish the game

Still rate that as one of the most heartbreaking defeats as a Pakistan cricket fan. I just kept believing that we'd win until that Gul over. :afaq

Umar Akmal was also giving out incorrectly by Simon Taufel.

The days when Akmal could play left-arm spin and actually had a brain.

PSL leading the pack when it comes to celebrations. :salute #AbKhelJamega

There's something about Elliot that just irritates me at times - tries to put on an act too much when he is just a normal person who should behave normally.

I agree with you. The celebration is too OTT.

Though I probably would've celebrated If I hit that six. :D

Yasir clearly got lost in the moment there hahaha

I'm 50-50 on this , not sure how I feel. In baseball , throwing a bat is considered a big NO-NO , that crosses the line into being disrespectful. This is the first time in cricket and even though It isn't how bad it looks - I can see how some people may not view this as pleasant

Who cares about baseball? This is the cricket section. :)))

This was an epic celebration and I think you're getting overly offended by this.

Okay, what was Yasir doing? That was just weird. Lol otherwise a solid execution by Elliott!

The other player was forcing himself onto elliot lol...anyways cool celebration made a bit awkward in the end

:afridi:shehzad

Nothing beats Misbah's celebration at Lord's. This one is pretty cool though.

Yeah, Misbah's celebration at Lord's was when the pushup gimmick was still cool and fresh, but it has become cringeworthy now. Hope Azhar stops doing it.

Cool celebration, Elliot is clutch. A shame he didn't get much of career with New Zealand.

In our Culture doing this is considered as disrespecting the Sport as well as the Opposition.

Misbah did not like it and rightly so. Rarely you see Misbah complaining the way he did.

Never heard of this before. How come? And what about push-ups, if that is the case?

Certainly the first time I have seen such a celebration on a Cricket field, therefore not sure how such a conclusion has been derived.

Push Ups have just been started by Misbah. It does not involve use of Cricketing equipment. Though it was for the Soldiers who helped team get fitter but Cook and Co did not like it and so that trend ended soon.

You might have seen Misbah waving as if to say Aey Kee ? Aeday ki loarh see ?

when did he say that ? I thought misbah was upset with sami ...

Not so cool tbf. I doubt if any sub continent batsmen would do something like this, they (batsmen) value the importance of a cricket bat.

Misbah was unhappy with the bowler not Elliott.
