KABUL: A gunman opened fire on worshippers in a Shia mosque in Kabul on Friday, police said, in the latest attack to hit the Afghan capital.

“A suicide bomber entered the mosque in Police District 13 of Kabul city. The attacker opened fire on worshippers,” Kabul Crime Branch chief General Mohammad Salim Almas said.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.

KABUL: A suicide bomber killed 32 people including women and children and wounded 41 others when he blew himself up in an imambargah in Kabul on Friday, officials said.

“Unfortunately this evening a suicide bomber detonated himself among the worshippers inside a mosque in Dasht-e-Barchi neighbourhood of Kabul city,” Kabul police spokesperson Abdul Basir Mujahid said.

The interior ministry confirmed the toll of 32 dead and 41 wounded.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack but recent assaults on imambargahs mosques have been carried out by Islamic State militants.

The last attack on Shias in Kabul happened on September 29 as Muslims prepared to commemorate Ashura, one of the holiest days in the Islamic calendar.

Absolutely man. Thankfully, things were considerably better in Pakistan this time around but the way extremism is growing, Shittes being labelled as non-Muslims and apostates is going to become the norm. Moderate, educated and WESTERNIZED people are so open to calling Shittes Kaafir, it is scary.

This is the sad reality. The forces will be successful in dividing Muslims unfortunately. However, with Allah's blessing, this Muharram was rather peaceful, at least from my personal experience.

If it has been going on for 1,400 years, then you need to come up with a plan to change something important and fundamental to stop this.

And the plan has to be different from other failed plans from the past.

It's getting worse. You see, the media, the politicians, different leaders, talk show hosts and Mullah's in general incite violence against Shia's in so many different ways.

There's the people like Aurangzeb Farooqi who bluntly and directly call for war with Shittes and then there's people like Zakir Naik who sugar-coat things, play with the minds of the people and convince them into thinking that Shia's are apparently not Muslims and follow some polytheistic religion.

These people don't even understand the concept of 'taqqiya'. It's hilarious how Mullah's in mosques are using a concept of false context and using it to divide Muslims. What is even more hilarious is that these SAME Mullah's who are now advising people to hide their faith because of growing Islamophobia. The irony is through the roof.

1- Shia history after the death of Prophet of Islam is generally accurate.
2- Shia Tafseer-e-Quran, when it differs with Sunni Tafseer, is generally wrong.
3- Islam by nature does not tolerate opposition (evidence: we can see what happened to jewish and pagan tribes during the life of prophet of islam)
4- Shias are the MAIN opposition, so they will never be tolerated. It's in the DNA.

2- Shia Tafseer-e-Quran, when it differs with Sunni Tafseer, is generally wrong. [1]
3- Islam by nature does not tolerate opposition (evidence: we can see what happened to jewish and pagan tribes during the life of prophet of islam) [2]
4- Shias are the MAIN opposition, so they will never be tolerated. It's in the DNA. [3]

[1] The weird thing about that statement is most of our principles obtained from our tafseer-e-Quran can be backed by ahadith from Sihah Sitta (and I can quote many examples) so............
[2] When you're in another nation then you have to follow their rules. Just like when I lived in KSA I had to live by their rules (whether I liked them or not) and had to hide my faith as much as possible because many of our practices were illegal there.
[3] Its sad really while, on the other hand, Imam Khomeini has said:
"Wo humaari jaan hain" as in "They(the Sunnis) are like yourselves"

The point is, there is always a divide, your view just depends on which side of it you stand on. You go to that side and they will say such and such groups curse such and such relation of the Prophet Pbuh. This is how it escalates.

Nothing wrong with what I wrote, it is acknowledging there is a divide whichever side you stand on, I gave no vindication for one side or another. It's like saying there's two sides to every story. One might be right, one might be wrong, but there is still two sides.

1- backing anything from hadis is an easy task. Ask any sufi, ahmadi or any isis leader, they would claim that they are following quran and Sunnah. Weird? not really as minds of believers work irrationally so we should ask external people to provide unbiased assessment. And my point was based on external assessment.

2- i do not know what you meant...are you justifying wrong doings? First case is just the opposite of your example. Anyway, making something legal or illegal won't make a right thing wrong or vice versa.

3- it does not matter why shia believe or say, they will remain the opposition party. Just like the story of lamb and wolf, and wolf will place the blame on lamb.
