Haider has signed for Jamaica Tallawahs for this year's Caribbean Premier League, subject to a NOC being received from PCB.

He's making a name for himself and getting noticed now around the world.

A decent pay day for Haider and the opportunity to play in another T20 League.

Play county or FC cricket he is a great talent but with some umar akmal-esque issues and you ain't fixing tham in any t20 league

Id prefer it if he played more fc and list a cricket tbh

He isnt going to become a better batsman for pakistan playing in these t20 leagues around the world

Weve seen what happened with u akmal and the way hes deteriorated

The pcb should be more hands on and manage his career and help him develop into a proper player ala babar azam

He is one of PCT’s brightest batting prospects and someone who should eventually take over from Babar. The last thing he needs is more T20 cricket, especially lower quality Caribbean league.

Good news. However those that are in charge need to ensure that he doesn't have his head swayed by these leagues too much.

CPL is good but t10 or any other nonsense leagues which clash with the domestic season need to be firmly declined by Haider.

I am really not sure about how good a prospect he is. He has shown the propensity to throw away his wicket by playing mindlessly. Strike rotation is another big issue I've noticed

CPL would be a good league for Haider to overcome some of his notable issues with spin, as cited by the U-19 coach a while back.

The pitches are quite different, and matches can be low scoring thrillers.

If he learned anything from batting with Babar, he would know that spending time at the crease is important.

In our interests, it would be good if Haider can have a good CPL season to get in form. I still want to see him playing List A and First Class, so as long as these leagues don't interfere with that, it will be fine.

It will be interesting to see where the Jamaica Tallawahs play him, whether they take him in the top order or in the lower order. Either way, it would be a good opportunity to learn how to keep his balance when hitting from a guy like Russell.

My guess is he'll open for them, though I would prefer that he plays in the middle order.

He is the most talentend batter after a long long time but no doubt he is going the umar akmal route as all this 2020 s messing his game up big time

Haider Ali has been a top order player at the U-19 and domestic level.

For some reason, Peshawar Zalmi and the National Team have played him in the middle-order.

We have seen him struggle against spin. No doubt he can hit sixes, but is his technique good enough?

Shamsi ate him alive in the T20I in Pakistan.

True but he wont develop any good under Misbah Waqar management because they will continuously chop and change his batting position be it in T20 , ODI or TESTS, this is how these two buffoons destroyed many batsman.

These two are poor leaders to be incharge, give them how many years you want to be in power they will still do the same thing because they dont fit the bill. They think that they have played enough to coach a bunch of players... In reality they dont know anything about coaching, leading and player development..

Shocked to see Wasim Khan hasnt realised this yet sitting in the management, it is as easy it is to judge these two right from their playing days..

They will ensure that the player doesnt know his role and then play.. Also in the media the player should say that they can bat anywhere the team wants them to just to play a softie for the team mgmt..

Good for him, Will help him improve his T20 game by playing along with WI T20 players.

Whilst these T20 leagues are good fun, nice pay days and an opportunity - I'd like to see him play more 4-day cricket though and focus on that as priority.

Well said. Already Haider has batted at 2, 3 and 4 in his brief international career. Misbah and Waqar love chopping and changing the batting lineup as we've seen in their various captaincy and coaching stints.

The CPL will clear up some of these doubts.

I would want him to play in the middle order personally, as our top order doesn't have space at the moment.

He has the power, but he needs to learn how to play according to the situation, and how to construct an innings.

Also needs to learn to keep his balance when striking the ball, and improve his off-side game.

Exactly. More it will continue, he will bat from 1 to 7 before discarding that he needs to improve. This is the same way Maqsood got his career fade away. According Misbah and Waqar anyone who bats like Haider or Maqsood or Umar akmal, they suddenly start to think they should either open or bat no.6. It is the way old 80s mindset , nowadays no.4 and 5 are equipped with playing with such dynamic range and is preferred in other teams like England, India, Australia etc. I wonder how and where these two would have played Yuvraj , abdv , butler

In reality Misbah and Waqar needs to improve and learn a thing or two about leadership, management, coaching , player development etc

This has been a constant issue for decades long, why is this not addressed at all. Repeatedly going back to Misbah and Waqar. Probably a question for MenInG to ask Wasim Khan in the next interview.

Happy that he is getting a chance to experience some different conditions. But I would prefer if he plays more first class cricket when the first class season starts. That will benefit him much more than these T20 leagues.

Excellent opportunity for him to earn and learn from the windies. leagues(including t10) are very useful to learn the art of power hitting.I dont really mind even if he becomes a loi specialist like morgan or roy
