Has Modern Day India gone way too far in Aping the West in the last 10-20 years?

We have already seen how Bollywood films have become more and more revealing, spicy when it comes to item songs, revealing dresses, love making scenes. But i am just shocked at how openly Indian Celebrities flaunt their Westernized lifestyle in comparison to the more traditional conservative roots of their country. Celebrity couples are openly embracing living together before marriage but given the examples of Arjun Rampal and now Hardik Pandiya, couples are comfortable in having kids outside wedlock?

Something like this is completely unimaginable in Pakistan and no way would Pakistani Celebrity couples dare to indulge in this sort of conduct.

TBF they were not western ideals as well untill 30-40 years ago.. its just modernization brings in individualism. Are you saying Japan is trying to ape western countries?

With modern day individualism this will happen. Also you sound like how BJP its sister parties sound like in India...

India is a big country and contrast of different lifestyles is only natural.

Some years ago, I read blog of an anonymous girl from Islamabad who had boyfriend, his family knew and she was living a "western" life.

I guess there is a parallel society that lives by different rules.
