I think you were impatient with Slot this season calling him to be sacked. That’s all I got to say. I was surprised by your take. On the Salah issue, I agree with most of what you said.

Fan entitlement is a thing and I have called out fellow gunners and even Utd fans for it. My issue with Liv supporters on pp is how easily they threw the manager under the bus not appreciating that success is not promised every year. Then many of them turned against Salah and looking for a scapegoat.

I think there is no crisis at Liverpool, the club’s doing fine, Liv fans (in general) are going through an entitlement crisis.
You may have a case of mistaken identity because I haven't called for Slot's sacking ? The furthest I've gone is saying if results don't improve then his position looks increasingly untenable. I mean, that's a reality for any manager.

I sincerely hope he turns it around because he conducts himself with dignity and provided me with one of the happiest moments of my life only 6 months ago. The idea he merely piggybacked on Klopp's work is false because a) Klopp never won a major honour after 2020 and b) Slot made the key decision to convert Gravenberch into a 6. He's endured a perfect storm of tragedy, injuries, squad upheaval, and some outrageous bad luck in games. He's made mistakes but has credit in the bank for being only one of two managers in my lifetime to win the league.

There's a segment of Tiktok era fans who only discovered LFC during the Klopp era, got spoiled, and cannot handle the first bit of adversity. They aren't representative of the fanbase as a whole. I suggest watching The Anfield Wrap podcast if you want detailed and objective analysis from actual matchgoing fans.

These new age fans should've been around when we had Djimi Traore Cruyff turning the ball into his own net at Burnley, or when Roy Hodgson described Northampton Town as a "formidable" opponent before promptly losing to them.

There atleast 4 posters in this thread that this description fits like a glove.

I am sorry. You never said Klopp should be sacked but that his position looked ‘increasingly untenable’. I took that as sign that you wanted him out but I can see the distinction.

I am going to check out the podcast you mentioned, because I really am wondering if all Liv fans have given up so early on Slot.

Piggybacking argument is flawed because there are no other examples where a manager came in and won in his first season while credit is given to previous manager. Winning a PL is hard (impossible for most clubs). Slot deserved more love from goldfish memory fans.

I agree with AJ that some Liv fans here have come across as what you described as TikTok era fans. Who buckled under pressure and turned on their manager within months of winning a championship.

*slot should be sacked

The Arsenal thread is definitely a great example of fans uniting peacefully and showing 100% support for their manager through thick and thin, epitomising the spirit of North London Forever...

Only rivalled by AFTV.
Arsenal is the complete opposite, most current Arsenal tiktok fans have seen no success and seem to think finishing 2nd, CL semi final is success. Plus most backing the manager have no standards.

AJ- no more memes of a twerking man? Or are you keeping them to yourself for the time being?

Mohamed Salah has been included in the Liverpool squad for Saturday's Premier League game against Brighton.

Mohamed Salah has confirmed that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.

Despite signing a new contract last year, the Egyptian King has confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season.

The forward confirmed the decision on his X account, where he said:

“Hello everyone, unfortunately the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.”

“I never imagined how deeply this club, this city and the people would become part of my life.”

“Liverpool is not just a football club. It is a passion, a history, a spirit. I can’t explain in words.”

“We won the most important trophies and we fought together through the hardest time in my life. I want to thank everyone who has been part of this club throughout my time here.”

“I don’t have enough words. The support you showed me support through the best times of my career and you stood by me in my toughest times. I will never forget.”
