Short answer is no. Long answer is he likely won't play for pakistan.

He is not in pcb's plans or heck even in their radar. I dont think the likes of hesson are even aware of his existence.

Secondly pakistan is not shifting to a new phase like people believe. Pcb kicked ba/riz out because they were pressured to. It came to the point that many higher ups weren't amused.

The public awaam can chat all they want but when the likes of Sunny, Yousaf, Imad and Amir( Despite people hating them on PP, their voice clearly did some damage), Sohaib Akhtar, Kamran Akmal, and pretty much all of England consistently ignoring Babar for tue 100, are constantly clowning on you,

The board had no choice but to remove them. However the fact that their CA clearly means their in the plans.

No board kicks 2 players out of a side only to give them category A contracts.

Pcb is actively pushing for

A) Babar, Rizwan, Agha, Shaheen and Saim (all formats)

Everyone else like Haris, Hasan Nawaz are just flavours of the month.

Usman Khan didnt get special privilege. He may have failed in International but that doesnt mean he got special privilege.

He top scored in psl and was a freqent top scorer in UAE at the time. Despite his weird technique was clearly outperforming everyone including our own International players in PSL and UAE leagues.

It was PCB that pressured him to depart from UAE and play for pakistan.

Usman Khan was very hesistant on joining pakistan as despite the opportunity he would have to perform if he wanted to keep his spot, whereas in UAE he was a sure fire starter no matter his form,

However UAE isn't a big league, its a poor league with poor money making prospects as compared to pakistan. This is not bbl, IPL, or the big leagues.

At best he would get to represent the UAE International team and be part of a side that would frequently get butchered on the big stage, or he could go for a high risk high reward strategy and get to play for a country that has 3 titles to its name and still have a big name with International sides touring and its own League.

Unfortunately he couldnt capitalise and was dropped. But he wasnt a sifarish and pcb themsleves wanted him in the team.
