Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf are 3 youngsters who really excite us fans. Hopefully they don't fade away, I don't think they will though.

I am not yet impressed by Shahdab. He seems like glorified Hafeez. Gets smashed by proper batsmen and yet to be tested regularly as a batsman. Hasan on the other hand is class. Faheem can also hit hard which is the need of team for now. Need more quality players.

You can’t blame these bowlers for losing this match, it was already lost by the poor batsmen.

25 overs to chase 150 is peace of cake for half decent batting sides nowadays. It was even easier than a T20 game.

Hasan Ali is proving himself to be a very handy lower order hitter. Shadab Khan is more of a strokeplayer than a hitter.

Both are very promising but the top and middle order need to give them a better platform.

Zaman and Babar too..

Let's not count Babar out yet..he performed brilliantly in his last tour to NZ and deserves more chances.
At his age even Tendulkar was behind him

I don't count Zaman as a youngster, he'll be 30 in a couple of years. But yes I forgot to mention Azam, probably cos he's been in the Pakistan team for a while now whereas Shadab and Hasan Ali only had their breakthrough years last year.

There are some heartening signs but there are way more heart attacking signs.

These two look good, however no future batting talent looks good including aslam and barbar

These guys look good unfortunately there's very few good players in the side.

Four good youngsters- Shadab, Babar, Hasan and Faheem. (Most potential)

Two good players entering their prime- Fakhar and Amir. (Our best match-winners)

One good senior- Hafeez. (Past his best, but still steps up when under pressure.)

These 6 can stay. Everyone has to go.

To be honest this is getting repetitive now. We have seen Hasan, Shadab and other youngsters giving phenomenal performances countless times, due to the seniors however the euphoria is limited.

Hafeez has to go. Their is no sugar coating this.

What about your Imad :ashwin

Like what? Only new players are playing cricket the previous generation Pakistani players used to play, they have the confidence and talent, Pak team finally is worth watching again now and it's been a long time since they were interesting to watch.

Steps up under pressure? :danish

You mean when his spot his under pressure?

We were already aware of the talent these 2 possessed. What we need to find is batters who can play the modern way.

Even Imam, who hasn't even been given a fair go, Shinwari and also our captain Sarfraz?

Maqsood has had a phenomenal season in LOI cricket. Draft him in as soon as possible. Hope he has improved his temperament. Hussain Talat also worth a go.

Okay Sarfraz can stay he's a beast.

Fakhar
X (Can be anyone, maybe Mukhtar or Farhan)
Babar
Hafeez
Sarfraz*+
Shadab
Faheem
Hasan
Amir
X (Can be any off-spinner or slow left arm)
X (Can be anyone, maybe Junaid or Shinwari)

We need to find new players in PSL next month.

Hopefully youngsters step up. And we find someone new just like in the past, Sharjeel, Hasan, Fakhar and Shadab have shown up.

Yes new players like Fakhar, Hassan, Shadab, Faheem are very good and will take the team forward. But some other likes Babar and Amir, whilst having potential, are living up to the expectations.
And the selectors arent dropping Hafeez and Azhar.

Shadab is too raw in his primary role as a bowler in longer formats. He needs to trust his leg spinner rather than just bowling a googly 4 times an over. Needs to talk to someone like Saqlain or Ajmal in terms of setting up batsmen.

Pakistan has missed Usman Khan Shinwari... I was hugely impressed by him. I believe he is one man who can turn a game on it's head within a matter of minutes.

he still plays a lot of aerial shots. good to play only in the powerplays, he is a top order batsman anyway can be tried as an opener but he is vulnerable to short ball.

Maqsood sbould have been in the ODI squad.

If Maqsood was in the squad then Malik or Bobby Azam would have been dropped by now. Politics exposes itself. Mickey Arthur and Sarfaraz are also at fault for not standing up to bully politician Inzamam. Even if they had an excuse that he is tried already than any domestic middle order like Saad Ali or Asif Ali would have done a better job. But they don't want to select players to replace Malik.

No Haris?

Yes Shadab Khan, Hassan Ali and Fahim Ashraf are an absolute delight to watch and I only expect them to get better.
Going into this series I was looking forward to see Hassan Ali the all rounder and boy has he showed up and he will continue to improve his batting as time goes on.
Shadab Khan has a lot to offer with the bat, which used to annoy me when Imad Wasim used to bat higher than him.
Fahim Ashraf showed a glimpse of his capabilities in the first ODI, but I need to watch a few long innings by him to prove he’s the real deal.

But no doubt these are 3 exciting cricketers

Shadab, Fahim and Hassan Ali and definitely players that when fit go into the final XI.
Add Fakhar and Amir to that list.
A lot of people want Hafeez out and up to the West Indies series in 2017 I was with you. However, since then he has performed quite well. If he performs with the bat, I don’t think we can drop him. That said he has to play more sensibly at times, both ODIs so far he got out to silly shots.

Other than him Babar and especially Sarfraz are due a big innings, as Pakistan fans are as unpredictable as their team and want to get rid of all their players at one time or another

Maqsood sbould have been in the squad in place of Hafeez.

Surely they and fakhar are now the brightest stars in the deep dark sea of Pak cricket.

Deep dark sea?
Lol just because we lost a series means we are in a deep dark series.

Can you please enlighten me what other Asian teams have achieved in NZ post 2014?
Especially the mighty Bangladesh?

This Pakistan team has many players like Junaid,Wasim and Zaman(2nd ODI) missing.

These two look good, however no future batting talent looks good including aslam and barbar

I don't agree. Zeeshan Malik, Suad Shakeel, Saad Ali, Sahibzada Farhan, The New lot of the u19 WC 2018 batsmen (particularly Mohammad Alam) and etc. I see a lot of batting talent in Pakistan, they just need to be nurtured properly.

I watched Hassan Ali's bowling in CT games. Hope he maintains similar level of enthusiasm throughout his career.

Till 2019 world cup
Fakhar
Umar akmal
Babar
Sarfaraz
Saad ali
Shoaib
Hafeez
Faheem
Shahdab
Hassan
Amir

Yes, and it's criminal how talent like Zaman get ignored for so long to accommodate hopeless seniors or other useless players.

Then we have disheartening sights of Ul Haq .................................

Give him credit, he scored some runs in the last match. Plus his experience is very important to youngsters.

So in the next match malik will score a couple of runs and people will call for malik to stay?

Hafeez's one odd innings won't cut it. It's time for the seniors to pack the bags and go.
