How do they manage to produce so many pace bowling all rounders whilst most Asian countries seldom manage to produce 1 at best?
Apart from south africa in the 2000 era, no other team post 90s had as much depth in terms of balance as England do at present. When I say all rounders I mean quality all rounders not bit part frauds.
Take a look at their all rounders in test cricket. I am not even going to discuss about their depth in the shorter format. Just purely tests alone.
They have the likes of stokes who is one of the best ever all rounders of all time. Then you have woakes who offers balance with the ball and can keep it tight plus he does bat well enough to be counted as a proper batsman in the lower order.
They have curran who managed to silence india in England almost single handedly. Perhaps the novelty factor played a role in that series but regardless he played well and he is a capable all rounder as reflected by his performances post india series.
Moeen ali is still a good all rounder cpaabale of performing in the sub continent as he is a good player of spin. He does well in english pitches towards the end of the tests on 4th day pitches.
In the late 2000 era they had Tim Bresnan etc.
Anyway the question is how are they able to produce 3 quality all rounders whilst Asian countries are still yet to produce a top quality all rounder post 2010?
I should say pace bowling all rounders. Not spin bowling all rounders.
