How is the security situation in Pakistan these days?

Hello to all the people on this forum. I have been a lurker for a long time but I decided to join and interact with all of you. My question is, how is the security situation in Pakistan these days? Is it better than 5 years ago? I have not been to Pakistan in a very long time and it's hard to tell from the outside.

There is rampant crime in Punjab as robbery, car snatching and kidnapping. Mirpur is probably the safest city in Pakistan.

Really ??? I have been going frequently to Pakistan lately and felt quite safe and secure, almost like " good old days:.

Not to confuse crime with terrorism.Terrorism has gone down significantly but crime is still there.

Pakistan has always had a high crime rate, even they totally eliminate terrorism, it still won't be safe enough over there for people to walk around in broad daylight yalking on their phones or women driving around wearing jewellery. I've had many relatives that have been robbed in both Lahore and Karachi, some even got killed. I think the govt and people there think the bad law and order situation only relates to terrorism and theft and robberies.
