So there you have it folks. The AGGRESSIVE duo of Kohli and Shastri is back once again. With their uninhabited urge to pump more and more AGGRESSION into the Indian cricket team in every format, it's safe to say that Pujara's days as an international cricketer are now numbered with now even Rohit Sharma (LOL) finding a place in the Test team once again. I say irrespective of how he does, he'll be dropped by the third India-SL test in the upcoming series.

God save Indian cricket.

Lol,Kohli doesn't like players who can play swing,He wants fishermen like him in the team

They can't get away without paying a price if Pujara is dropped under current form.

And I have a feeling Kohli won't last more than 2 years as the captain

Step 1 : Create a thread out of your personal fantasy

Step 2 : Post something with a LOL or a ROFL added to it

Step 3 : Call Kohli names coz that is the most fashionable thing now

Step 4 : If someone asks you about the logic behind it, just say "I have a feeling"

This whole thread is based upon fantasy of OP.

OP has a point. Kohli didnt hesitate before dropping Pujara, and asking Rahane to bat at 3 so that the TTF and FTB Rohit gets a game. If it wasnt for the injury to one of the openers and Pujara scoring a century on a green wicket, he would have been lost into oblivion by now.

Exactly. Kohli and Shastri will go to any lengths to accommodate Rohit Sharma in the playing 11, even tinkering with a settled batting order and dropping more accomplished and settled players if so be it. It's a disgusting culture that is being imposed on the Indian Test team since the arrival of Kohli as the captain and would only be accentuated by Shastri's arrival now.

Pujara was last dropped when he failed in NZ, Eng and Australia. As much as I hated that Rohit was being accommodated in place of him, I think there was a very valid reason to drop Pujara.

Below average performances from your no. 3 in 3 consecutive away tours matters a great deal. The nice-guy attitude of Pujara probably makes people ignore his shortcomings but yeah, he was horrible away from home. (Apart from his one hundred on an absolute road in SA, and a decent 20 in Lords)

Only time I can see Pujara being dropped again is when the circumstances are similar, so not anytime soon.

Dropping of Pujara would have been justified had his replacement been asked to bat at no 3. It was quite clear he was dropped just to accommodate Rohit in the team.

Couple of bad innings and the chepu will be dropped in favour a man wha can "change a test match in a session".

I remember Pujara was once dropped for SURESH RAINA. SURESH RAINA replacing Cheteshwar Pujara in Test cricket, can you imagine? The Kohli-Shastri dislike for Pujara is undeniable at this point.

I don't get the correlation between Shastri being appointed coach and Pujara leaving.

Many posters are suggesting this, is it even based on any solid evidence though?

Step 1: Ignore history and the actions of people you worship and when the inevitable happens look for excuses to defend wrong decisions.

Has happened before ... IIRC in the Aus series 2015. But it was for the better .... hope Pujara doesn't repeat the 30(115) type scores ... these days that type of cricket just does not work unless you are playing to save a Test match.
