Haris Sohail and Babar Azam are our best batsmen. A lot of Haris Sohail’s prime years were wasted.

But now he's in the team and doing a great job.

Today, he scored his 2nd Test century, in 8 matches/16 innings.

How many can he get to by the time he retires? Are 20+ centuries possible from this point onward?

Pakistan has been playing 6 to 11 matches per year in the last 4-5 years. Which is quite poor, not enough.

He's officially ~30.

20 hundreds look unlikely, which is unfortunate because he has the potential to get 30+ tons, only if he started playing from 21-22 age.. :|

Babar and Haris are not suited for UAE tracks if cricket can move back to Pak it will be more in UAE unlike Misbah Azhar and YK they are not natural grinders

I think he'll go downhill after 35. Assuming 7 tests an year he would play 35 more. I'm guessing he'll score 9-10 more hundreds ending up with 11-12 hundreds. After 35 he may add a couple more tons but I don't see him lasting long, he isn't exactly the fittest guy going around.

He will score 25+ test hundreds for Pakistan.

Best batsman in Asia against seam/swing. Also a great player of spin bowling. Had he been playign regularly since young age he would have been a 40+ hundreds player.

It's not the same every year. Say he gets to 60 matches, that's another 13 in 51. Every 4 games.

Well I wish he scores 20 but that's not realistic.

Unless he really turns into Kohli and bradman mode from now on.

Probably 8-10 in total its unfortunate hes got into the team and playing injury free so late in his career

You really don't rate him much, looks like?

I didnt at the start because of his closed face but which inhibited his play through the off side but i can see he has worked on that and has improved markedly. My predictions are based on factors like poor fitness( although he went some way to allaying this match), his general doziness, which showed up with AA run out and age.

How many did YK score from 2010 till 2017?

YK was supremely fit, same cannot be said about Haris. I see him declining rapidly, his next 2 years will be the best you can get out of him after that he will be the passenger in the team.

Not sure if his hundreds mean success for Pakistan.

This. It is unpopular opinion here but I believe one of significant relevance.

So far Haris has got 10 fifties in ODI which if broken down by results are as follows:
1. 5 vs NewZealand (3 lost, 1 won, 1 no result)
2. 2 vs Bangladesh (2 lost)
3. 2 vs Zimbabwe (2 won)
4. 1 vs UAE (1 won)

Further, he has so far 2 hundreds in test 1 drawn and 1 under way.

I have no issues with Haris, I have issues with fan boys who hype him as he could be part of Fab 4 currently which is clearly not the case. At best Haris is a support batsman and needs another player to take charge of the match.

It depends, can he go on a run where he can supremely showcase his ability or is it potentially too late. I personally think he could get anywhere between 10 to 20 but it would depend on conditions and opposition. He's a solid batsman who can acclimatize in many conditions. What could hold him back is his age and injury record.

4-5 at the most, due to his lack of fitness, won't last long. He is not a good sportsman, he's lazy and fitness is not his priority.

Lol not the right thing to be saying -when he just batted circa 150
overs- if you want to be taken seriously

He still has that knee problem. He said this in a recent interview.

I would say ~18 if he manages his injury for next 5-6 years.

7-12

I don't see him staying in-form and fit after he gets to around the age of 33-34 and he'll slowly start to decline from then.

Btw how many odi centuries do you think he will make?

He wont be making any meaningful ODI century, more like YK he will get 3-5 against weaker opposition. Sad but he doesn't seem fit enough for ODI century, this is the prime reason why he throws away after getting starts.

As far as tests are concerned, he will end up with 10 or less centuries with around 2-3k runs.

10 - 12 would be really great. That would mean he's equaled or gone past Misbah and Hafeez

Don't think he gets anywhere close to the Younis/Yousuf/Inzi numbers

Not many, he’ll be dropped after SA series and end up like the Manzoors, Aslams, Masoods, Alams etc.

I predict 20 test centuries. He has what it takes. He could have had more if he hadn't had those injuries. Sad really! But he has the ability backed by solid temperament. Anything less than 20 should be considered an opportunity missed..
