Just a random question. I am going through a rather slow period at work and am literally spending the whole day browsing random websites, forums, reading news, and trying to look busy. I have read every thread posted on the forum in the past week and am literally running out of things to do on the internet (as ridiculous as that sounds).
While the current situation is a bit unusual, even in regular days I think I probably spend an hour a day on random browsing while at work. Based on my experience almost everyone irrespective or rank, position or type of work seems to waste a significant amount of time doing nothing on the internet and I have seen this while working in Pakistan, US and the Middle east. Sometimes I wonder how much this must cost the employer especially when I see highly paid executives sitting in their offices and reading reviews of random stuff or planning vacations.
What is your experience?
PS: I am typing this from work and still have a lot of time to kill. Anyone else replying from their office
