How to bowl better off-spin to good attacking batsman?

Hey guys,

I play for my local club, which 25 overs are played in match and I'm the only off-spinner in the team which I am competing with my team-mate who is a googly leg-spinner for the number one spinner spot. At the moment, the captain is edging towards him since a leg-spinner is harder to hit. However, I bowl a batsman out every 5 balls in practice since they are looking to only hit. I can be economical.

1) In practice/match situations I get nervous bowling to very good batsman, these are very attack minded batsman.
2) Most of the batsman want to come down the pitch or just hit hell for leather.
3) How can I bowl to good attacking minded batsman? I know I may encounter 7 Sehwag's in the opposition team who are just too good (quicken my off-spinners/doosra's?).

My variations include off-spinners, doosra's which I bowl flat to the stumps. The captain does have faith in me, since he bowled me full quota of 5 overs in last match seeing I can be a wicket taker (hit/miss situation) and be economical.

If you see an attacking batsman [MENTION=1549]Rickz[/MENTION], just give the ball that bit more flight and let them try and hit it anywhere they want. There is more of a chance of them getting out by trying to drive straight or play in the air to balls pitched up on a good/fullish length.

DON'T BE SCARED TO FLIGHT IT. I'm pretty sure you will get a wicket if you pitch it up and they try hitting you.

If they're coming down the pitch to you every ball then you should throw one down the legside a couple of times to try and get a stumping. You should also shorten your length!

[MENTION=1549]Rickz[/MENTION] get an armball, it is easier to bowl, it goes quick and flat, like Kiri said flight them time to time as well. Mix your Armball and your off spinner, bowl your off spinner with varying amount of topspin. It dips and bounces higher. This will scare the batsmen, good batsmen will easily pick up your line and length if you bowl all the deliveries alike. If you vary the flight, apply top spin and underspin(Armball, Slider) and vary the speed no batsmen will trouble you. You will stand out and never know might be good enough to move up to the next level.
