Aston Villa is delighted to announce the appointment of Unai Emery as the club’s new Head Coach.

Unai joins from Villarreal, whom he led to Europa League success by beating Manchester United in the final in 2021 as well as the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.

A highly experienced top level coach who has managed over 900 games, Unai has also previously managed in the Premier League during a spell with Arsenal, leading the Gunners to a Europa League final.

He has also enjoyed notable success at Sevilla and at Paris Saint Germain. In Seville, he won three successive Europa League titles between 2013 and 2016 before going on to lift a Ligue 1 championship in France as well as two French Cups, two French League Cups and two Trophée des Champions.

Unai will take over from November 1st after his work permit formalities are completed.

This is an excellent appointment. He’s a good coach. Should click quickly and get Villa up into comfortable mid table.

Strange move all round. Was doing good things at Villarreal but he might not be cut out for EPL.

He was poor at Arsenal but then again you can't really judge someone managing a club Arsenal. Areteta will still be sacked at the end of the season imo, they will finish outside top 4.

His Villarreal management was brilliant. Villa also has Villarreal in the name so a good omen . :)

Wish him the best, really want Villa to stay up, a huge club still dormant !

Villa fans didn't like Gerrard because his team was boring. My friend is a season ticket holder and he called out Gerrard way back and Emery is also of similar football ideology which is based around the teachings of Rafa. Keep it tight, stay tight and look to nick wins. Unless Emery has changed, I don't expect much from him. As I said Villa need to temper their expectations and Sean Dyche would have been perfect for them

Jamie Carragher speaking on Monday Night Football shortly before Emery was appointed:

"I think it would be a fantastic appointment. I'm a huge fan of Unai Emery. He's had a lot of success with teams just below the elite, almost fighting against the biggest clubs.

"It didn't go quite so well with him at Arsenal but if you look what he did at Villarreal - Europa League winners and you look at how far they pushed Liverpool in the Champions League. He was brilliant at Valencia, always getting them into the Champions League places.

"I don't think he's the type of manager for Barcelona and Real Madrid - and I don't mean that in a disrespectful way - but for a Valencia and an Aston Villa and for clubs who are trying to compete against teams who have more money, he gets his teams really organised and he's a super coach.

"Maybe not for the biggest names in the planet but, for Aston Villa right now, I think he'd be a great appointment."

Sure your many predictions have been great.

Look beta Mamoon, go kick a damn football, learn how to play the game yourself.

I assume mommy and daddy sent you to ballet as a child. Wear those tights to help you kick further.

The owners want European football, if he can get that it’s a huge positive. Otherwise being in the middle or there about is business as usual, still a step up over the former league one level manager, never got the SG hype given his experiences

What do you make of this appointment also given his experiences at Arsenal.

I think he will do well. He is more suited to the expectations and targets he will have at Villa plus his prior experience with Arsenal will surely help him.

He is a very good manager but Arsenal was the wrong club at the wrong time. I’m glad to see him get another shot in England.

Its possible but the Premier League is very competitive now. Apart from Man City all other teams can finish in all sorts of positions.

If Emery can find goals for Villa, they can certainly get Europe this or next season. Top 4 is tough but possible in a couple of years.

This is a little trolling longshot from me. If Arsenal dont make top 4 please support Spurs.

My point was Emery cannot be judged by what happened to him at Arsenal. This is the same club which abused their most legendary manger for a couple of years to remove him.

Villa is different, he will be more relaxed and do well imo.

Alright I'll let you off then.

If Arsenal don't make top 4 this season, I'll go mad.

The problem Emery had at Arsenal was mostly the language barrier and the style was too similar to Wenger where there wasn't much emphasis on defence.

Since then he's done well and enhanced his credentials. He'll do well for Villa but as you say the PL is competitive so their fans need to be patient before setting their expectations for entry in Europe.

Tbf Villareal played some decent flowing football in most of the La Liga matches. Emery is one of those managers who wants to be flexible with his style of play, a bit like Jose but its always a risk.

Imagine if Villa beat Arsenal under Emery :))

Aston Villa: New manager Unai Emery's 'dream' is to win a trophy

Unai Emery says winning silverware is at the top of his to-do list as new Aston Villa manager - before taking the club into Europe.

The 51-year-old Spaniard was speaking before his first match in charge at home to Manchester United on Sunday.

He arrives for his second spell in the Premier League, after previously managing Arsenal between May 2018 and November 2019.

"My dream is to win a trophy with Aston Villa," said the ex-Villarreal boss.

"It's my personal challenge at the beginning. My second dream, my objective will be to play in Europe."

Emery led Arsenal to the 2019 Europa League final, which they lost 4-1 to Chelsea, but missed out on qualification for the Champions League after finishing fifth in his only full season in charge.

He was sacked in November, 2019, after just 18 months at the helm, following a poor run of results.

The Spaniard has a track record of success in European competition, leading Sevilla to three straight Europa League titles, between 2014 and 2016.

Emery is a good coach, but you have to ask serious questions about his character. He accepted the job at Newcastle Utd following the takeover, but then bottled it following some criticism at home, announcing that he felt at home at Villareal and didn't want to leave Spain. Yet a year down the line, and here he is, at a club where he will have less opportunity to win trophies. It feels like he regrets his decision to come to the Premier last year and is now trying to take the next plane over. He seems indecisive and now I am starting to understand why his players used to laugh at him behind his back at Arsenal.I think he will fail to shine at Villa, but he should be able to keep them in the Premier as a mid-table team.

Emery certainly has a massive job to do. Villa have some talented players but the legacy of Steven Gerrard’s revoltingly negative tenure will take time to undo. As we saw at Newcastle, when Villa concede one goal and a game isn’t going their way, they completely crumble mentally.

Emery's immediate impact

Steven Gerrard paid the price for a disappointing start to the season, but Villa wasted no time in bringing in his replacement.

Former Arsenal and Villarreal boss Emery was appointed on 24 October and has been welcomed by Villa fans. There was a positive atmosphere around Villa Park before kick-off, and Emery was loudly cheered as he took his place in the dugout.

Those cheers had barely died down when Villa made the best possible start.

Emery's impact was immediately clear as his side played with a pace and dynamism that pulled Manchester United apart.

On the touchline, the Spaniard kicked every ball and did not stop giving instructions as he settled into his new job quickly. If this is a sign of things to come for Villa under, it won't be long before they are no longer looking over their shoulders.

Excellent win for his first game.

Villa have a good squad, if they can continue scoring , still a chance to get finish in the top 10.

Excellent win against a form team.

Very convincing.

Shows the job that Gerrard wasn’t doing.

The experience of Unai was always going to be much more effective then inexperience of Steven. Villa dominated the match fully deserving their win even if their opponents were a rookies side:yasir. Man Utd fans believe they are improving!!:vk2

Hard to say if it was the manager, Villa are a moody team. Time will tell.

I think the big challenge for Emery would be to keep Bailey and Ramsey at the club beyond the summer window.

Two underrated players who would be assets to most teams in the league. The likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool etc. most be monitoring them.

Villa are a much better side than what they have shown in recent months. Hopefully Emery can maximize their potential.

Hard to say if it was the manager, Villa are a moody team. Time will tell.

I had to laugh at the MOTD2 montage this weekend where the Villa fans were saying something about the Arsenal fanbase being overly hostile and that Emery will get a fairer hearing at Villa, they’ll be behind him 110% etc. The Villa fans are like the most fickle and toxic bunch in the world lol, a bad run of a few losses and they’ll turn on him instantly.

Aston Villa boss Emery speaking after his side's 2-1 win over Brighton: "I think we were compact, we had to play together. We had to play being strong, in our structure defensively and offensively.

"We didn't play with the control of our possession because they push it a lot. They press very good. But we had other things in our capacity to play.

"The players compete very well and we had chances. It is very important to win away. It's the first match we win away and I think we can be happy.

"But the most important is how we compete - how we take the responsibility and be demanding on ourselves. Be disciplined in the match, and I think that is the
way."

Barely a few days into his tenure as Aston Villa head coach, Unai Emery had already set about giving his players examples of his ferocious attention to detail.

The Spaniard had taken over a team in desperate need of a clear structure and that had looked lost during the grim final weeks of Steven Gerrard’s regime. Under Emery, there has been an immediate improvement in results, with back-to-back league wins against Manchester United and Brighton, either side of a 4-2 defeat by United at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup.

This ‘new manager bounce’ is relatively typical. When Gerrard replaced Dean Smith a year ago, Villa won four of his opening six matches and everything in the garden appeared rosy. Just because Emery has claimed six points from two games, there is no guarantee that Villa will fly up the table in the second half of the campaign.

Whatever Villa’s form, though, every player will be clear on what is expected, and how hard they will need to work. Between November 2, Emery’s first day in the job, and November 13, when Villa won 2-1 at Brighton before the World Cup break, the squad did not have a full day off.

One of Emery’s first moves was to summon players one by one to his office at the club’s Bodymoor Heath training ground and once there, the player was given a detailed briefing – via clips on an iPad – of how he was required to perform. The message was clear: Here is what I what I need you do, and if you do it, I can help you. Don’t worry too much about anything else.

One of Emery’s favourite tools is video analysis and when they return to training after a short break, Villa’s players can anticipate plenty more time in front of the screen. The level of information and detail has raised eyebrows among the squad, who have nevertheless been impressed by just how much Emery knew about their individual strengths and weaknesses during their first meetings.

The appointment of Pako Ayestaran, who was part of Rafael Benitez’s coaching team when he won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005, looks a hugely smart move, given his successful combination with Emery at Valencia and his knowledge of the English game.

From day one, Emery has been in the thick of the action at Bodymoor, marching from pitch to pitch with clipboard in hand. While the 51-year-old has an air of authority and likes to keep a professional distance from his squad, Sportsmail understands his coaching staff have made a particular effort to make players feel at ease – which was not always the case under the previous regime. That means high-fives, hugs and wisecracks are the order of the day from the coaches as players arrive for their work.

The Gerrard experiment started well but ultimately did not work, and co-owner Nassef Sawiris wanted to ensure his successor had proven European pedigree.

Emery has won 11 major trophies and has a track record of overachieving with Valencia and Sevilla – clubs of similar size to Villa – as well as Villarreal. Since Sawiris and fellow billionaire Wes Edens took control four years ago, they have dreamed of taking Villa back into European competition and have spent nearly £500million on transfers to try to achieve it.

They believe Emery to be the best candidate they could realistically have hired and are prepared to grant him greater control than any of his predecessors – Steve Bruce, Dean Smith and Gerrard – enjoyed under the NSWE regime.

Though Emery is used to working with a sporting director and will operate in tandem with Johan Lange, his recommendations in the transfer market will carry significant weight.

He will be backed in January, too, and it would be no surprise to see Emery return to former club Villarreal during the mid-season transfer window, where attacker Nicolas Jackson is highly regarded by his old boss. He is thought to be believe Villa’s greatest need is up front and out wide.

Despite his excellent track record, Emery’s appointment does not guarantee success. At the moment, he has the buy-in of all the players as they try to impress him. But when his plans become clearer, how easy will it be to keep those who do not play regularly on board? Will the long days, limited free time and detailed video sessions continue to hold players’ attention? Will the constant in-game coaching be an inspiration for some but an irritation for others?

One thing is for certain, though: Sawiris and Edens finally have a coach with the clout to match their ambitions. His initial impact could hardly have been better and Emery’s Villa will surely be one of the teams to watch in the second half of the season.

Big upgrade on their last couple of managers.

Doing a great job.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery speaking to the BBC: "We were thinking yesterday only about our target to win. Top six, against Tottenham away that was our challenge. We worked defensively with very good attitude and trying to keep the moment.

"Spurs were pushing us and we had options in the attacking third and that was good for our confidence in the team. Adding three more points was fantastic."

On Douglas Luiz and Boubacar Kamara starting together in midfield: "Luiz and Kamara is a good combination because they are understanding better step by step. To mix both of them is fantastic. Their performance today was fantastic to help us to win."

On Emi Buendia's performance: "Buendia has to do his way [to play for Argentina]. His performance was fantastic as well. Argentina won the World Cup and he is so happy and he has to take the challenge in the next years to get into his national team as well and he is working for it. We want to help him to improve with us and then he can go forward with his national team."

On working with the Villa players: "Everyday when we are working, the players show me very good attitude and commitment. They show today how they can run, be together, be disciplined together tactically and use our skills. This victory today shows it."

Emery enjoys home comfort
Aston Villa v Wolves (20:00 GMT)

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery suffered his first home defeat with the club in their 3-1 reverse against Liverpool on Boxing Day, only his third ever home Premier League defeat in 28 games, including his spell at Arsenal (W18 D7).

Emery hasn’t lost consecutive home league games since April 2021 with Villarreal in La Liga.

Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery says his side did not “control our minds” as they conceded twice in the last few minutes to suffer an FA Cup third-round defeat against Stevenage.

Villa had gone 1-0 up in the first half through Morgan Sanson but the game unravalled for Emery and his men as the game drew to a close.

Leander Dendoncker was sent off in the 85th minute for pulling down Dean Campbell in the Villa box. Jamie Reid converted the subsequent penalty to draw Stevenage level, with Campbell then scoring from a short corner routine in the 90th minute to complete the comeback and give the League Two a memorable victory.

Loud boos echoed around Villa Park with the match ending shortly after Campbell’s winning goal.

Emery gave his thoughts on the result, saying: “Yes, I’m really shocked. The mistake was a big mistake.

“The last five minutes we didn’t control our minds. It’s a message, we have to learn and improve.

“We can’t think we are better, we are Aston Villa. I’m upset, sorry with our supporters. Each match gives us information.”

The win for promotion-chasing Stevenage sets up an FA Cup fourth-round tie at Championship side Stoke City.

Emery and Villa, meanwhile, are back in action on Friday when they face Leeds United in the Premier League.

Hopefully the club can keep a hold of him, the win at Stamford bridge may have been the best since promotion

Emery is doing a brilliant job, has really shown up Steven Gerrard

Also, this reflects well on our ownership as he was actually our first choice, as it happens I'm glad he turned us down as Howe has been amazing and is arguably better suited to us longer term

That would be a farce, he is needed at AVC

100% we have been desperate to compete for European football, is it a stretch to say we are somehow edging towards that? I would have that as a major goal for the manager next season, but he has made some waves already

There’s so much excitement at Newcastle now, a really good set up and a lot to hope for after a long time, great people at the club

Good defending against Chelsea who dominated possesion and shots but still lost to Villa.

Villa's remaining fixtures are a good run for them. Very good chance of making Europe imo.

With another win for Villa, the fans will be wondering what might have been if Unai Emery had taken over sooner?

Villa on a dream run! Fantastic results and performances. Guys like Watkins, McGinn, Martínez and Douglas Luiz in top class form. They made Newcastle who are a good team themselves look extremely ordinary today. Huge jealousy from me.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery speaking to Match of the Day: "Good afternoon, yes I am very proud of our work of the players, the supporters and it is the last match in a row we kept a clean sheet. The best challenge we have head in our way was today and we did it. We an look u more or not. Our new target was to be top ten, we have to now get the second target to fight to be accounted and fight for a European position."

On European prospects: "Yes the first target was to escape the bottom, we did, the next was to get in the top-half, we are. We are being very demanding to add anew target top be in the top six but of course we are going to face the teams that are now fighting for that. Today we showed and we believe with our supporters we can do that."

On Ollie Watkins: "Yes [he was good in] both boxes. Our box to try and get a clean sheet again and of course in the opponents box to score I think the performance now of Ollie is fantastic He needs his team mates and they are very happy because he is very humble. He is every day trying to improve and learn more and that is the way I want everybody to be. He is a very good example.

"He is adding a lot of things and I think he has always scored but he is now understanding a little bit more to understand how he can attack the spaces, when he has to drop to get the ball and set the ball. He is understanding everything as as striker and he is scoring because he is feeling very [happy]."

Biggest challenge will be keeping a hold of Unai on his current form! Chelsea will be breathing down our necks!

Playing some lovely football and the squad looks united.

The likes of Mings have regained their confidence under Emery.

Emery believes in organistion, movement in unison. His teams are usually very disciplined.

Villa Park is a tough ground to visit, which also helps.

If Villa can spend some money, bring in another creator in midfield, they could challenge for top 4 next season.

He's doing an unbelievable job at Villa park. Reputation in English football well and truly restored, he's a great coach.

I can see him getting Villa back into europe again this season.

11 home games in a row they have win, amazing effort

FT: Nottm Forest 2-0 Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery, speaking to BBC Sport: "We always take it as a challenge to play away because at home they [Nottingham Forest] feel strong. To come back in the match and get a result was very difficult.

"We started the match very poor but we reacted well, we had chances and opportunities to score. In the second half we started really badly and at 2-0 it is difficult to come back.

"The players fought until the last minute to try and score but we didn't do it. Of course it is hard to lose but we have to accept it.

"We have to understand every match for us is very important. We have to be storng to keep our defensive ability and to try to get the points by being together. We made two mistakes early in each half and it is difficult to come back.

"We won 11 matches in a row at home and that is fantastic. Away it is a challenge. Today I learned again. We are calm and relaxed, we have to be stronger defensively away and try to work hard if we want to get to be one of the top seven teams in the Premier League.

"I learn when we are winning, I learn when we draw and I learn when we are losing as well. Today is one year since I arrived here. We have progressed and done a lot of work and I am proud of the players, but I want more. To increase the level is the next challenge I have."

Jamie Carragher: Aston Villa a better coached team than Manchester United | 'Unai Emery third best manager in the Premier League'

Jamie Carragher says Aston Villa are a better coached team than Manchester United and believes Unai Emery has claim to be the third best manager in the Premier League behind Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.

Aston Villa secured a 13th straight home league win with a 3-1 victory over Fulham on Sunday, matching the 13 in a row achieved in 1983.

The result at Villa Park saw the club equal the post-war club record for successive top-flight home victories also making it six wins out of six at home in the Premier League this season.

Emery's side sit fifth in the Premier League table. They are now just one point outside the top four behind fourth-placed Tottenham, who they face on Super Sunday (November 26, kick-off 2pm) when the Premier League returns after the international break.

Villa are also just three points behind league leaders Manchester City and Carragher, speaking on Super Sunday, thinks there's a case to be made for Emery being the third best manager in the league behind Guardiola and Klopp and ahead of the likes of Mikel Arteta, Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag because of the trophies he has on his CV.

"You can make an argument that Unai Emery is the third best manager in this Premier League," the former Liverpool defender said.

"You've probably got Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola, they are Champions League winners.

"But when you look at the body of work of Unai Emery, not just at Aston Villa, he's continually winning Europa Leagues.

"Mikel Arteta and even Mauricio Pochettino haven't got that CV in terms of winning trophies."

Villa flying at moment, their away form has been sketchy this season, but good win for them today.

At home they are very tough to play against and both Arsenal and City have to go to Villa Park in Dec.

Emery is a better manager then Arteta, its not even a contest.

Fantastic second half performance by Villa after a shaky first half.

Squad seems to be getting stronger and they can bring on players from the bench who are much better than what they have had in the past few years.

Great manager this guy.

Arsenal accused of ‘disrespecting’ Unai Emery as Aston Villa boss makes Premier League point

Rio Ferdinand believes Arsenal 'disrespected' ex-manager Unai Emery - who continues to prove his worth at Aston Villa.

The Villans leapfrogged Tottenham into the Premier League's top-four with a 2-1 comeback victory over the north Londoners on Sunday.

It comes after Emery dragged Villa from a relegation battle in October to the Europa Conference League in May last season.

Few can doubt the Spaniard's transformative effect at Villa Park - but his first stint in the English top-flight was not such a roaring success.

Emery had the unenviable task of replacing long-term Gunners manager Arsene Wenger in 2018.

His time at the Emirates grew increasingly toxic before Arsenal decided to sack him after 18 months in charge.

Despite Mikel Arteta's growing success in the Gunners hot seat, Manchester United legend Ferdinand believes Emery was mistreated in north London.

"Unai Emery is doing madness," Ferdinand told the FIVE podcast.

"Arsenal disrespected his whole thing."

Emery, who has won the Europa League four times as a manager, attempted to manage the expectations of a galvanised fan base after the win at Spurs.

The brilliant job Emery has done really shows Steven Gerrard up for the absolute fraud that he is as a manager

Also, he was our first choice for the job, declined it so Howe was second choice. Obviously I'm delighted with Howe but shows the ownership have a decent idea of who to target as a manager

Villa home form has been outstanding, they just need to improve away from home, where they tend to be way to open and have taken some battering.

Maybe it's a case of Emery needing to be a bit more pragmatic in approach in away games. He had sake issue at Arsenal, where away from home team was solid enough.

In his one full season at Arsenal, they lost 5 away games in a row and won just 1 out of last 8 PL games that season and bottled top 4.

So let's see if he learns to change at Villa

Realistically the Europa League would be an upgrade, each season should be judged on upgrading from the last. How far we progress will be dependent on our away form, good start at Brentford though. Like Amjid said, the season starts end of March. But so far delighted with the record breaking start, and improvement made at the back especially, good managers evolve. The club have spent wisely and I believe in this core group some of which were playing championship football which I followed a lot more religiously, just needed some proper leadership

In celebration of Emery potentially getting the club CL football, forget Tony Barton, am submitting an application to the local council to build a giant Emery statue at the tip of my driveway.

Emery at Villa is no flash in pan, like one certain poster likes to call it.

Villa have won 25 PL games in this calender year, usually teams play around 38-40 PL games in a calender year depending on fixture schedules.

If you translate 25 PL wins in an actual season that's 75 points minimum starting point. Villa have won 12 this season. So if Villa go on same trajectory, then CL spot should be minimum you end up with.

Yes we were battling relegation and lacked consistency, and we’ve not started this way for decades. As you said the math doesn’t point to a short lived boost, but my question is how we respond away and I guess that’s what majority of clubs vying for europe would consider. Either way, you have to give credit to the manager, the criticism is odd. From when he managed you guys I’d have thought he is a bit tighter at the back which ought to show he’s learning. Good managers evolve, don’t know if it will take as much time but Moyes is a good example, written off completely but has been terrific for West Ham, it’s not easy top flight.

Most win in calender year for villa ever and has them top 3 he's doing a top job

My friend is a big Villa fan, he goes down each week and he says Emery is a proper manager. In contrast, he called out Gerrard for not having a clue after few games, and told me he wouldn't last long, and he didn't.

Emery extends Villa contract to 2027

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has extended his contract with the club until 2027.

Villa were 16th in the Premier League and fighting relegation when the Spaniard took over from Steven Gerrard in November 2022.

In a remarkable turnaround, Emery, now 52, guided Villa to a seventh-place finish to qualify for the Europa Conference League, the club's first participation in European football since 2010–11.

This season, they sit fourth in the Premier League with Champions League qualification in their sights. They are six points clear of Tottenham, who have two games in hand.

Emery said he and his backroom staff "share the vision of the owners" and have "the right structure to develop this football club".

“We must maintain the hard-working spirit, clever decisions and co-ordination with the ownership that we have found during this time," he added.

"We will work to get better and better. And we will demand from each other. Ambition already is, and must always be, the motto of this project.”

Villa have triggered an option to extend Emery’s deal in this instance and will sit down with the manager in the summer to discuss a long-term contract, BBC Sport understands.

Emery’s position could be significantly strengthened if he delivers the Europa Conference League trophy and Champions League football.

The situation as it stands should mean Villa can see off any potential interest from Bayern Munich, and possibly other European clubs, to keep their manager in Birmingham.

Villa chairman Nassef Sawiris said: “We are thrilled and are building a sporting operation around Unai to support him with a view of returning Aston Villa, a co-founder of the English Football League as we prepare to celebrate our 150th anniversary, to its historic levels of greatness.”

Renowned for his expertise in European competition, Emery has steered Villa into a semi-final in the Conference League, where they will face Greek side Olympiakos with the hope of reaching a first European final since 1982.

Hopefully Aston Villa will make it to CL and Unai will get manager of the season award, the club has been to alot of thick and thin since the time of David O'Leary

Looks like Emery is getting Villa CL football in his 1st full season.

We can’t hope to compete with the best when we mentally switch off like that, I also think the Unai extension announcement should have been left until the end of the season.

Yeah there is still huge room from improvement

But to go from relegation scrappers to fighting for top 4 so quickly is a good effort. Also still in Euro conference cup as well

I am being greedy because I’d have taken the Europa League at the start and I had to make that goal ambitious because the minimum this season would have been European footy regardless of the level after relegation threats last year, but even when we were in the Championship I genuinely believe in that core group and on our day as you’ve seen this season, we’ve pushed the best and can do better if we change our mindset.

Really need you to do a job on Spurs today!

I think any money from European football next season has to be invested in your team. More 1st team quality players and more depth. Best way is to get the best players from other teams like West ham. I think Bowen would a good signing for villa. Players like eze, gheue and olise from Palace, palinha from Fulham.

These are sort of players you should look at

The European specialist taken to school at home by a Greek team. Deluded PL fans think there is no football outside their overhyped league.

“Best league in the world” my foot 🤡
