In a shocking case, a husband in Telangana's Hyderabad allegedly burned his wife alive for not securing a seat in the medical entrance.

"The deceased girl, Harika's parents had filed a FIR at the LB Nagar police station stating that their son-in-law Rishi Kumar had allegedly burnt their daughter alive for not securing a seat in the medical entrance and he was also continuously harassing her for the additional dowry", the inspector at LB Nagar police station said.

The body has been sent for the autopsy and a case has been registered under sections 304(B) and 302 of the IPC.

The investigation is on and further details are awaited.

The evil practice of dowry and the plethora of disgusting vices it brings along with it continues. Horrific stuff. 2017 India folks.

This is the subcontinent mentality I was talking about in the thread about the Christian who was beaten to death in Pakistan for drinking from the same glass as the 'Muslim'. In that part of the world, low status can be caste, religion or gender. There's a general disregard for life of those without resources, those without an agenda could see it if they weren't blinded by their own prejudice.

This poor woman was killed because she couldn't provide the money whether through dowry or future professional income. Lakshmi zindabad.

How do we know this. Has the investigation being done? Or are they mere allegations as of now?
