Fakhar Zaman at a presser after his hundred against Zimbabwe:

"I am feeling good after that knock, I was trying to get a hundred since many games and my coaches also pointed out that it's been a while since I hit a hundred. I was trying and today I think I was lucky. I didn't play too many risky shots so today was my day"

"I think I am in the best form of my life, but for 100s, you need to be lucky also. You are trying your level best in every game and sometimes you get lucky and it's your day, today was my day"

"I am really satisfied with my innings today. It's all about the team plan, Mickey Arthur told me we want you to finish the game. In between, I had forgotten and was trying to hit few too many shots but then they messaged me and told me to just play through to the end. It's all about the team plan, sometimes they tell me to play my natural game but here they told me to go and bat long"

"We (Imam) also played for the same dept. in Pakistan so we've opened together in FC and List A in domestic cricket. He's a good opening partner and I know a lot about him and he knows about me. We support each other while playing and I enjoy my game while playing with him, whenever I'm doing something wrong he points it out and I tell him also"

"I learnt a lot from these wickets and the conditions. Today in the morning it wasn't easy, and same in the first game. In the morning it's seaming and swinging but later on it's easier. I've never played in colder conditions that this"

"My playing Test cricket depends on the management, I was a part of the Test team during the UK tour but didn't play. But they are working with me in the nets. Even when we're playing ODIs/T20Is, Mickey still tells me special things about Test cricket. I am working hard on my technique and hope I will debut soon in Tests"

"Before international cricket and Pakistan A, I was doing really well in FC cricket. I have an average of 43 in FC cricket so I think it won't be something very new to me, I am used to it"

"At the start of the innings, Muzarabani was bowling really well. I wasn't feeling comfortable against him at the start"

Good Luck to him in Tests, when ever they bring him in; I think he will do really well if we include him in the next two series so he is not exposed to swinging conditions right away (e.g. England, SA etc.), at the start of his career.

He is my favorite cricketer in the team for his fierce and never say die attitude, obviously helping thump the parosiites big time in CT Final played a big role in becoming a huge fan :-)

I think our Test Team will only benefit from his inclusion because he will help change the defensive mindset a bit and bring us a lot closer to other modern day teams; technique is important but temprament is number 1 in terms of success in longer format and he has oodles of that!

I think he'll do better in tests than he has in ODI or T20s

a pity he hasn't debuted yet

I hope he doesn't go the tuk tuk route just to improve his "technique".

I hope I am wrong, he needs to keep playing his shots with with some defense on good balls. :afridi

Good to hear him trying to adjust his technique. I think this is definitely something that is helping him.

I’ve always wanted him in Tests and opening the batting, not coming down the order.

This guy is brilliant.

I hope he gets to captain the side after Safraz. Ideal role model for youngsters due to his fitness and work ethics.

He was ready for test cricket in May.

He was ready for all kinds of cricket in 2015 but we were given the opportunity to witness the "better than Tendulkar" Shahzad so that we can tell our grand kids that we lived in the era of Ahmed Shahzad which truly is the only highlight of our life.
