Thanks...surprising figures. The only thing I remember Maninder Singh is due to his hindi commentary in old DD sports before ESPN/Star etc came to India.

Icc rankings are based on current form. A bowler can average 15 over a period of 15 months and then go downhill since and still have a higher career rating then someone consistently averaging 22.

One of my favorite cricketers as well. I tried emulating his bowling action as a kid. The man averaged 20 odd with the ball for more than half of his career. It was his decline during the later years that pushed his bowling average to 23 odd.

According to ICC rankings, Wasim Akram was never rated the #1 ranked Test bowler in the world in his entire career. Speaks about the credibility of those lists

Tendulkar DOMINATED 3 World cups. No cricketer and only a handful of sportsmen across sports have ever dominated as many as 3 World cups. It is unprecedented. Not even Ronaldo, Messi have come near this.

I prefer winning knocks in knockouts scoring in SF's and Finals rather than dominating in league matches.
