Right guys my maths is all confusing me here. I dont have a clue how this super sixes are working i make it even if we win against kiwis and even India they wont qualify to semis i think.

Also for somereason they are not playing Bangladesh just India and Newzealand how does that make sense

This so-called super six is the worst format I have ever witnessed & ICC are notorious for producing terrible formats every tournament. Cannot understand why are they making the teams play only two matches in this round instead of three when there's no shortage of time or anything.

Yes, Pakistan cannot make the playoffs as long as India beats Zimbabwe.

so i thought i was right so not that it will happen but by just losing one game they will be out some strange format this

It is a farce.

I call it "BCCICC farce".

yes even then they wont make it as India will beat zimbabwe and then Pak and NZ get knocked out
Pak has a small chance. In case if India's next game gets affected by rain (abandoned) AND Pak wins next 2 games, that probably is their only chance. Without rain, it is almost unlikely - even if Pak manages to win both games for NRR.

What a silly format and the tournament is so short. I am guessing ICC just want to spend the least amount of money on what probably is a money loser for them but still, this is quite lame. This tournament should be to highlight emerging talents and give them a bigger stage to develop but like 3 games in, most teams are already eliminated and being in the next group stage is essentially pointless.

Yeah bizarre format I don't understand the 2 games in super sixes thing - surely it would make sense to play against the other three teams, not two of them? But anyway, no idea what goes through people's heads when they make these things.

Basically that defeat to England has cost us.

Very farcical format. Classic BCCICC format.

What was ICC thinking when they selected Bulayawo as one of the main venues? Bulayawo is not even Zimbabwe's greatest ground. Harare is much better. :inti

Should've held most of the games in Namibia. They have a better ground.

so who are making through to the next round. This point carry forward is a good thing as it seperates consistent teams from "maverick" teams who wins barely enough.

England win has sealed the fate of Bangladesh. England is owning these teams. India reasonably convincingly beat the same England u19 in England 3-2. I think most of these teams are good for sluggish UAE type pitches. They get exposed outside. Zimbabwe pitches are somewhat similar to UAE pitches. But even that is not helpign teams like BD.

No it’s unfair as groups almost always aren’t same difficulty wise. When you make it to the next stage. You should start over. You can use previous NRR as a tie breaker but it shouldn’t count in the next round.

This is a ridiculous format. Why would you play 2 teams if you qualified for super six?

But you get easy teams in the next round right? Because of this format only Pakistan could exploit the run rate situation against zimbabwe. So it sorta helped them as well.

all the whining teams have to do is win their matches. If they win all their matches or atleast most of their matches they can comfortably make it into top 4 and its being good on that day after that. All three teams Eng, Ind and Aus just went ahead and won most of their matches irrespective of who they have faced. So they are topping. Even now if India loses to NZ tomorrow and if Pak can win both their remaining matches convincingly they can still make it into semis. Not so unlikely scenario. Instead of taking things into their hands and beating the teams in front of them fans of teams like BD just keep whining. in the four matches BD has played they have beaten one associate team and are in super six and still whining.

I don't trust Pakistan's batting... Sameer and Usman are the main guys and they should hang on tight... All other guys are passengers.

Very farcial is you labelling everything wrong under the sun to BCCICC, India and Indians...so BCCICC was responsible for Eng beating Pak in this on going U-19 wc?
On just this first page itself- you have repeated your closed minded hatred for BCCI/India and everything Indian, twice....

The wider problem is the damaged perception your harqatein in countries like Canada give the locals about brown skinned people and since Indians are in majority, we get an unfair rap from imported unwanted like you in such countries.

Well done, @sweep_shot. :yk :inti

England almost go through as they have better NRR , a win for india today against Zimbabwe almost seal the fate of Pakistan. 🤣🤣🤣

:klopp :kp

Australia and England look solid. INdia beat England 3-2 in England. Also whitewashed rather thrashed AUstralia 3-0 in Australia. But not sure how these pitches will behave.

No again the tailender shayan lol

Good stuff from the 25 year old Pakistani fast bowlers
There is a reason they do well in u19 and emerging but flop in senior level.

Check this out.

Tahhir failed in CT 25. Farhan, Saim, Muqeem failed in AC 25.

Abhishek now no 1 T20 batsman and AC 25 MoT.

Rana part of CT 25 winning team.

Rana, Abhishek and Parag will also have immense careers and loads of ICC titles/Asia Cups. Jurel will also have a good career.

As someone who is well into adulthood, should Seyam celebrate so aggressively on getting a 17 year old's wicket ?

Lol every team's batting is better than Pakistan's.
They all play with intent and with aggressiveness but Pakistan suffers from misbah syndrome.
They all have idolized that guy.

Subhan’s deliveries are hitting the pitch hard but after bouncing really floats to the keeper and die at the end

I actually don’t care about results for U19, I like watching upcoming players with ability - Pakistan have a good core and even bogue for NZ showed a lot of talent

A bit of juggle with the ball by the fielder but in the end he holds on... 4th one down.. Ali raza strikes for his 2nd.

Good start from Pakistan here.

But our batting is so weak that we need to kill this game off and not let them cross into 120 territory

Our loss to England in the group stages has hurt us badly, we won't be able to make the semi-finals even if we win both games.

India and England both have vastly superior NRR than us.

Weird format, one group stage loss and you won't be able to recover in this tournament.
