This match is starting in about 20 hours.

Can the Windies win back to back or will it be the Aussies winning their first ICCCT trophy.

Lara chooses to bat first.

Australia team
AC Gilchrist, SR Watson, RT Ponting, DR Martyn, MEK Hussey, A Symonds, MJ Clarke, B Lee, GB Hogg, NW Bracken, GD McGrath

West Indies team
CH Gayle, S Chanderpaul, RR Sarwan, DJ Bravo, BC Lara, RS Morton, MN Samuels, CS Baugh, IDR Bradshaw, JE Taylor, CD Collymore

Ricky Ponting: "We have probably won more one-day finals, one-day tournaments, and World Cups than any other team... certainly a lot more than the West Indies have. We know what it takes to win big games and we will see how the West Indian players will cope under pressure."

Brian Lara: "It's been tremendous. I love the tag unpredictable, which means that no opposition, no matter how strong they are can think that they're going to roll us over. Of course Australia are the favourites. They're world champions, No. 1 in the world, going into the match you'd be unwise to think otherwise. We're looking to excel and carry that through to the final."

Windies off the mark 1st ball with a push to 3rd man.

leading edge brings up the first boundary through point. Unlucky for Brett Lee

Geez, 20 hours, I thought it was starting sooner than that! ;-)

10/0 after the 1st over. 2 fours off lee.

Bracken starts with a wide.

The aussies didn't start with McGrath last time they played Windies and are doing the same here. Might get punished for it.

Good start ... if we continue like this we should get 500 :13:

Thats a big if...but a decent start, hopefully no wickets anytime soon!

play and miss again - Bracken finds the line after bowling far too wide initially, 15/0

Chanderpaul plays one early, scoops up over midon.

next ball, blasted past lee for 4...

top edged past 3rd man, 6!!!!!!!!

chanderpaul throws caution to the winds..

wooooo a six to third man top edge. McGrath was close but went over him

Great start, need to be careful against Bracken. McGrath will come from Lee's end after that start.

2.5 Lee to Chanderpaul, SIX, full outside off stump, he tries to whip that into the midwicket stands, ball flies off the outside edge and sails over McGrath at third man for maximum madness! :))

Chanderpaul is going at an incredible pace. Gayle is being made to look like a spectator.

amazing shot from Gayle, straight down the ground for 4. 35/0 off 4

worked through mid-qicket for another 4 from Chanderpaul

amazing shot, 4 more from Gayle. Just a push down the ground and it's 4

What are the aussies doing continuing with Lee?

50 up in the 6th over .... still not bad, even with a wicket lost.

Koertzen has shaved his beard. did it have anything to do with Hair sacking.

a six by Gayle
WI 63-1 after 7

Geez we're getting absolutely punished at the moment eh.

We're going to be chasing a big score and will have to do a Saffa (ie chase 400+) to win I reckon.

Near runout.

Great ball from Bracken to get rid of Gayle. 80/3

Gayle goneski after a whirlwind slogfest, Bracken uproots his stumps. 3 wickets for Bracken.
