Be honest. What would your portfolio look like today?
Tendulkar, Ponting: The consistent bluechip heavyweights. Always good to add more holdings during dips as the payoff was always worth it.
Amir, U Akmal: After scorching IPOs, they fizzle out in spectacular fashion. Amir Corp's share price went underground after allegations of fraud and insider trading, while U Akmal Inc. saw the same story play out in slow motion over a decade. New management on Amir's board leads to some sort of recovery in the mid-2010s but does not reach its lofty IPO-era peaks.
Misbah: Dark horse purchase. The few who bought him in 2007-8 are set for spectacular gains as he becomes a hero in the coming years, culminating in the CEO becoming chairman of the market regulator.
Williamson: A stock belonging to a rather listless genre, the few who picked him up when he first listed are now laughing their way to the bank, as the world today appreciates the industry vertical which now churns out more and more worthy companies on a monthly basis. The latest being Conway.
Cook: A classic example of an overbought stock. While the gains were appreciated and rewarded, they became too fleeting and middling over time and did not match the hype accorded to it.
Smith, Jadeja: Dud penny stocks that win the few investors of 2010 the lottery. These companies manage a spectacular turnaround in fortune and now rule the roost, offering dividends every quarter.
