PPP need to be banned. These money laundering, criminal looters and traitors are insane and a danger to women.

Pakistani politician Nabil Gabol is under fire after a string of misogynistic and disturbing remarks have been unearthed which he has made on numerous podcasts. The political leader has shared a bevy of distasteful comments that have caused an uproar on social media.

In one interview, Gabol is seen talking about sexual abuse. “There is a saying in English: if rape is imminent, just enjoy it,” states the politician in the clip. When the host denies the same, he doubles down on it, claiming that it is, in fact, a saying.

“If you’re so helpless that you can endure rape, then just enjoy it,” claims Gabol once again. “Otherwise, if you have any shame, you stand your ground and don’t endure it. When we endure it, we get used. How do you get used? I don’t believe in this thing that you have been forced. If you’re being forced, stand your ground - raise your voice. You can stand against it. What’s the worst that can happen? You’ll go to jail?

The Twitter user who has shared the clip states, “Could someone please tell me this politician's name (the one being interviewed?) He's from PPP. Whoever he is, he's got the sickest mind ever. He just said 'When rape is imminent, just enjoy it'. What a sick, sick mind. If people like him ended up making our policies & laws, rape wouldn't even be deemed to be a crime. Never heard as filthy a remark as this one.”

In another podcast, Gabol was seen callously asking for famed social media sensation, Ayesha’s (Mera Dil Yeh Pukare Aaja) contact details in a suggestive manner.

In yet another video, he was seen saying that whereas people from Karachi keep their emotions bottled and release them in the bathroom, people like him 'can simply get' whomever they want.

As a result, he and PPP are on the receiving end of backlash from many Twitter users. For instance, Fatima Bhutto took to Twitter to state, “Utter filth. Nabil Gabol exposes the absolute criminal mindset of Sindh’s government. He has done nothing for Lyari, for the people he supposedly represents, and laughs while talking of such violence. Horrendous.

He also said that if he likes a woman, he simply picks her up (kidnaps her). Very sick and vile!

In a functioning state he would be kicked out of his party and forced to apologise.

In Pakistan he will get a cabinet position at some point again.

Remember the guy that killed the journalist and his protocol after he came back from Dubai. The PPP and the Nooras out do each other with their criminality. Not only do they commit the crimes, they want people to know they have done them, in an attempt to tell people they are untouchable

Gabol in hot water over ‘rape analogy’

KARACHI: The Pakistan Peoples Party on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to its leader Nabeel Gabol for making an insensitive comment about rape in a podcast.

The notice issued by PPP Sindh president Nisar Khuhro asked Mr Gabol to explain his remarks within three days. In case of non-clarification, it added, organisational disciplinary action will be taken against him.

“Inappropriate conversation and use of un-parliamentary words are not the policy of PPP,” according to a spokesperson for the party.

In the video of the podcast, which went viral on social media, Mr Gabol used the example of rape to talk about being overpowered by the opposition and said some seriously disturbing things like “when rape is imminent, just enjoy it”.

He casually mentioned in another podcast that he picks women he admires.

Netizens, human rights activists and lawmakers all condemned the statement, calling it shameful and insensitive.

Human rights activist and lawyer Nighat Dad, Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, author Fatima Bhutto and artist Zulfikar Ali Bhutto took to Twitter to voice their disgust, calling the rhetoric “repulsive” and “sick”.

It was Rehman Malik, Gilani and BB that were accused. That is one long list and it shows that this is part of the PPP DNA

I have never, in my life, heard this saying. It seems he just created it and is passing it off as a english saying to show that other people also have this sick mindset but in fact he alone has this sick mindset.

Nothing will happen

In a civil society and party He wouldve been suspended straightaway

no one suspends straight way. Explanation is required first.

And what explanation would you accept n let him go?
“I was just kidding”
“I was drunk”
“It was not me who said it”

You couldn't be more wrong -

In 1976, New York weatherman Tex Antoine was suspended from his job at WABC News for blithely transitioning from a report about the attempted rape of an 8-year-old girl with a crack, "With rape so predominant in the news lately, Confucius once say, 'If rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it.'" In a 1988 interview, basketball coach Bob Knight explained his method for handling stress by saying, "I think that if rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it ... I'm not talking about that, about the act of rape. Don't misinterpret me there. But what I'm talking about is, something happens to you, so you have to handle it -- now." In 1990, Texas Republican gubernatorial nominee Clayton Williams had to grudgingly apologize for comparing inclement weather to sexual violence with the observation that ''Rape is kinda like the weather. If it's inevitable, just relax and enjoy it.'' Soon after, in a tight race, Ann Richards squeaked past him to win the Statehouse. And earlier this year, during a public demo of Xbox's "Killer Instinct," a game producer told his female opponent, "Just let it happen, it’ll be over soon."

Indian leaders and beaurocrats starting in 2013 are in controversy saying this, Indian CBI Chief in 2013 - "If you cannot enforce the ban on betting, it is like saying, 'If you can’t prevent rape, you enjoy it.'"

As recent as 2021 Karnataka politician in India said the same.

in every organization, you first investigate than take action. Not the other way around

Yes he said something very inappropriate and should be asked to clarify but don't jump on cancel culture bandwagon.

You can't suspend with immediate effect unless there's an FIR or initiation of criminal investigation in most countries. You'll have to serve show cause notice first regardless what you believe. After that only you can proceed with suspension.
