Imad Wasim versus Shadab Khan as bowlers

Tough one as the "darter" brigade will tell us that Imad is nothing but that and Shadab is a "true" spinner.

But Shadab Khan's inability to spin the ball and pose any challenge with new or old ball is a huge concerm.

Atleast Imad is good with the new ball?

Shadab is no different to Imad as far as putting revs on the ball is concerned at the moment, low on confidence to and it’s harder to control line/length for a leggie, in a ODI game he will get exposed with no zip in his bowling, thus he is getting smashed by SA of all teams who are generally poor against spin. Shadab at the moment is no different to an underarm bowler. Imad is a defensive option but wont get smashed as much, he has had some success against this team to. If I was looking to take wickets I would have picked Qadir, if I wanted a spin bowling A/R I’d have gone with either Nawaz or Imad, Shadab needs some time away from the game if he is serious about playing all forms, if not you will always see him around the T20 team

Shadab has been completely useless for 3 years.

On current form, both have been relatively poor bowlers. They are unable to take regular wickets and do not look threatening. Rather pick a bowler who is able to make consistent strikes.

On current form, Imad would be the better option as he brings more value with his batting.

Spoke with a bowling coach recently about Shadab and he was saying that he is not going through his action properly, the rotation of his body isn't quite right.

Ideally, Shabad gets back in form and Pakistan can play them both. At #6 and #7 or #7 and #8.
